Wondering about bots in outlaw refuge

I've noticed it a few times since I started playing but only recently realized they must be bots.

They'll stand at the bottom of the ladder in Rawl'kha outlaw refuge in a stack, all of them doing heavy attacks on two handed weapons. They have random strings of letters for character names, and the user name is always some Chinese surname (Yang, Shieh) followed by a bunch of numbers. I'm just curious what they're doing down there, since they can't kill other players? Are they lost? Did they fall through the map from somewhere else? Inquiring minds want to know. One was by himself standing in the doorway to the fence area last night, just swinging that two hander away like he was rubberbanding at a dolmen.

Sounds like you found their hiding spot or something and they just left the macro running.

That's as good an explanation as any. I can't figure out how they're doing this identical toon stuff on PS4 though. It's a mystery.

Some of them are cool as *** tho, the team I talked with used to work 10h per day farming sabre cats and they apparently have deals with big guilds and they provide to them thousands of gold upgrades per month so they can sell it and they get a cut from it.

He also told me most of their companies usually use real people just pressing one button while watching the TV or playing something else, I always tho it was one guy using softwares to bot lol.

On console its serious weird, on pc you can have boots who interact with environment. On console you can not do that unless console is hacked and someone developed bot software for it.
Heavy attack is well known. On pc you can use keyboard macros to even have an rotation.

Bots in Rawl'kha? No way! That's impossible! They would not dare. There are a lot of GMs in Rawl... I mean, in Tamr... I... never mind. I forgot I have never seen a GM.

I don't get how it could be a joke, I mean I'm really funny but I can't consider that a joke?


I was telling the OP my experience talking with bots and gold sellers, most of them actually explain you their whole life if you ask them why they do this.

that sounds both odd and awesome

saw about a dozen or so folks around some dolmen out in the desert rubberbanding away like crazy...i've seen 3 or 4 before at one spot, but, never like a dozen or more...

my first mmo and I have definitely seen things I didn't even know existed in the gaming world...

kind of buuged me when I first got to the dolmen, had never been there before, it was so leggy I didn't get credit for finishing the dolmen the first time...second time I had a green ring and some other junk in the chest, time to move on...

crazy world all over the place...

I don't know this specific group, but yes, it's not at all unknown for large guilds (in all games, not just this one with its guild-based economy) to have ties with RMT.

Just a few minutes ago, I was in the Davon's Watch outlaw refuge and saw a group of them surrounding one of the fences. All had gibberish names and were wearing their starting soul-shriven stuff. Looked kinda creepy tbh...

They didn't script the bot properly. This happens often. Report them in detail. I always make a video recording too and mention that I have in the report. Might not actually do anything, or it might help them take the report more seriously.

Of course he would tell you they use real people instead of bots. One method is against the TOS, the other isn't.
