Jugged rabbit in preserves master writ?

I hope this isn't a stupid question, but I just got my first provisioning master writ, and I don't seem to be able to complete it. Is there a rare recipe in the game called jugged rabbit in preserves? I looked on the guild traders and couldn't find it. Is it just a matter of finding a rare recipe? Thanks.

I've had the recipe for forever. It is a normal purple one for level cp150. Just keep searching guild traders

Oh, thanks. I'll keep my eye out, then. :)

That recipe is not too rare as you get it in normal Provisioning Writ rewards. Unfortunately, since Homestead its price has skyrocketed to 30k on PC-NA along with a few other purple recipes assumably due to master writs.

Yep, it exists. If you think finding this one is hard, wait until you need to find Orcrest Agony Pale Ale....

Jugged Rabbit was always one of the rarer purples, along with Orcrest Agony Pale Ale. On both Alts that I have try to learn all recipes on, these were the last to be learned for the top tier. I could even fill in Tier 4 and 5 purple recipes faster.

Also, I have noticed a drop in the Purple Recipe drop rate myself. In that I rarely get one from Writs where before Writs were a steady, but slow, source. Now it has all but dried up for me and the only purples I get now are container/mob loot.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

My master crafter actually has that recipe. I got lucky and found it in a drop one time, a couple of months ago. :)

Took two weeks and more than one helpful guidie to find this. The guildie who did wouldn't let my pay him back the gold, so I sent some ambrosia and a few other things as thanks.

When I was leveling my two crafters, I did do all the research but nirn on the one, and she got all the new recipes and maxed alchemy and enchanting first. She got duplicates of motifs. The other main crafter did the 9 trait research first, and got all of the new motifs first, and took a little longer to level alchemy, and enchanting. She got duplicates of the recipes. I didn't find a duplicate of the Agony Ale. It took time to find a duplicate for the holiday purple recipes, but I did the events until my two crafters were both covered. All of the duplicates went to my other characters, or any guildie that didn't get them.

You know that food items aren't tagged to indicate who made it, right? Your character could get 8 jug rabbit from anyone and be able to turn in the writ.

As rarely as provisioning writs drop, and as low as the rewards are, who really cares? :)

I've gotten any one recipe on a writ no more than 2 or 3 times total.

That said, the Capon/Beet/whatever thing seems very rare to me. I've seen it about once even in a guild store.

This is not true regarding master writs. Since Homestead they are tagged (sort of), and you need to craft your own food for master writs. That "sort of" tagging means that when you receive food it knows the maker. But if you make same food yourself, they all are tagged to you and original maker is wiped away.

Normal writs still work with any food from any source.

Yeah, it works that way for the normal writs. Not for the master ones.

Master writs have to be made by the character that accepts the writ. Just like the vouchers for turning one in isn't account wide.

    @helediron @JKorr

Thanks for correcting that. I've had three master provision writs ever, and every time they procced as immediately able to turn in based on food I was carrying (two were for c150 food, one for drink...ones my characters all carry standard). I must have just been opening the writ with the character who made that food by chance.

(Ps, zos, the drop rate on these still stinks. My crafter took the time to learn 98% of the recipes in the game...can we get some higher-paying random drops on these??)

I found out when I got a writ for Orcrest Pale Agony Ale. My "got all the new recipes first" provisioner could make it, but I wanted to turn it in on my "got all the new motifs first" crafter. I wasn't sure if the ebony motif would be bound to the character that bought it not, because the vouchers weren't account wide. It took several days and helpful guildmates to find that recipe again so my "motifs first" crafter could make it. Both are maxed in everything, the only difference is that the one that finished the 9 trait research first doesn't have as many recipes as the other one. I'm slowly adding recipes to the one, and motifs to the other to try and get things balanced out.

I wouldnt mind seeing where people found the Jugged Rabbit in Preserves Recipe. I'd go farm it myself.

I've now gotten the recipe a couple of times. It seems like better economics to sell it (and any master writs that call for it) than to actually memorize it. :)

I don't recall whether I got it from daily crafting writs or out adventuring. Sorry. :(

I've been looking for this same recipe. The only guild trader I've been able to find that has it is selling it for 150k. I can't even come close to affording that. 15k sure, but 150?! Is there an active crafting guild that's got a good store with reasonable prices that has room for one more? (I know this isn't a recruitment thread but I figured I'd ask anyway.)

I found one over the weekend using Tamriel Trade Center. Took a bit of hopping around to kiosks, but finally found one in BleakRock for 30K. it's a great resource for finding hard to find items.

I just got another copy of the recipe from a small Dwemer urn in Volenfell.

That's about as random as a recipe drop will get. :)
