Housing Idea - Beds as Login Spawnpoints

So the idea is pretty much what is stated as above. It would add in an option under the Gameplay menu that allows a character to use a bed as your spawnpoint when logging in. This would only work if you are in a non-combat zone. I.E. Towns (debatable). And it wouldn't matter what town.

The Bed that it would choose is the bed located in your Primary Residence. If there are multiple valid beds, it randomly chooses one.

Now, while placing beds, they check the area for viability, once the area is viable, it will allow the player to spawn on top of them when logging in. I would also suggest that the player is using the /sleep emote once they log in as well.

There could also be an option under the gameplay setting menu to toggle /sleep when the character logs in, such that if any person were for whatever reason to decide that they only wanted to log off while on a bed (for immersion?) they then could get that extra experience.

Thoughts? Your Own Ideas?

Edit:
From discussion with others, a more lenient system may be to have it as an option during the logout delay (think in addition to the cancel option). this option only showing up if enabled in settings.

    I like that.

    Although I used to plan my adventuring in skyrim so I would always end my session at one of my houses without quick travel or an inn room. maybe it is only for weridos like me

    It does suck that I still can't exit my house in elden root without an infinite load screen :(.

    *Totally doesn't already log out in my home, on the bed after using the /sleep or /sleep2 emote and the /camp function to go back to the character selection screen* ;;>_>

    On the topic of the thread I think this is a really good idea. I'd like to see something like this happen.

    Beds aren't even functional. :neutral:

    True, that method does work, but this is suggesting that you can log off elsewhere and when you log back in you're in your house.

    @svartorn
    Yeah, that is unfortunate as it is right now. Though they may see functionality in later updates. Assuming ZOS has a housing team working on features/items.

    only if there is a chamber pot next to my bed when I log in, I usually have to go badly when I wake up.

    Maybe I am a little thick but I do not see any reason provided. It may be the reason is so it looks like the character is sleeping since it is mentioned this would be for immersion. I would think a more significant justification would be needed before Zos would consider coding it so characters are moved in such a manner and placed into a unique position that does not occur without direct player animation.

    Further, if immersion is the case it would seem immersion breaking since the character was in Craglorn when the player logged out of it.

    It has about as much reason as the Hide Helmet option. just a player choice.

    In terms of immersion, it would be more immersive in the aspect that your character is not just a puppet that you control, but will return home and sleep while you've logged off.

    I'd only want this if it was an option - and I was prompted to choose each time I logged off.

    I often have to log off part-way through a public dungeon or while waiting for a boss to spawn or whatever and it'd be pretty annoying to log back in and find I'd been moved back to my house and had to go all the way back out to where I was to carry on what I was doing.

    It'd be even more annoying if I was transferring items between characters, because I'd have to run back to the bank every time.

    At the moment I often do send my characters home when I log out, but only if I'm actually done with them and won't want to pick up immediately where I left off next time.

    Actually less. The hide helm is a standard option in many games. Having a standard option in the game is rather standard. I have yet to play a game that did not have a hide helmet option and have yet to see a game with a feature your suggesting.

    Seriously, I hope you get what you want and it is always good to provide idea regardless of them being implemented or not. However, for the sake of those that do serious RP, I hope Zos has appropriate priorities.

    I think intractable beds should come first.

    Hmm, that interaction does seem a whole lot better in terms of accidental/unwanted teleportation.
    Perhaps during the logout 10s timer, it will have a "Return Home" button prompt in addition to the "Cancel" option. The return home button prompt only appearing if enabled in settings.

    @Oakmontowls_ESO

    Yeah, bed interactability would likely be a first order of business in this situation.

    Yes! But ONLY spawn in your OWN primary house. Add this as an option in your Housing tab where you change restrictions etc.

    In Morrowind you had to move the character to the bed. It did not automatically move their just because you logged out.
