God I really hate Bind on Pickup items. After 14 days, and around 100 - 110 City of Ash 1 runs, I still have yet to get the entire set of Burnning spelleweave. All I need is the damn ammulet, but no luck. Hell I've wasted so much time I had to start offering a 100k reward to players who got a BSW jewelry drop. And as such I spent around 200k just for the two rings a couple of days ago. And of course today I got one Ring from the final boss, and then the very next run I did I got another ring from the final boss. So now I just wasted 200k, and I still don't have the amulet. God I really hate bind on Pickup items. This is time and coin I could be using for PvP, but no. The developers like to set impossible goals for those who do not have the time or resorces to meet such goals. Now if you'll excuse me I have to spend another 30 minutes of hell in that god damn dungeon.

The whole binding system that some games like this use is pretty stupid in my opinion. It's just more of a hinderance to everyone than it's worth.

OP, some advice, run it with friends, with guildies. Knowing all 4 increases the odds one of them will get what you want without having to ask what they got. They will often just give it to you instead of playing what I consider a steep price, even for buying from someone you know. Rings are not that rare.

there are 2 chest in CoA and most of the times are simple or intermediate
over 100 runs here,once i found a master chest-almost passed out from happiness..inside there was sunderflame as usual

If you do it on vet it ensure the jewels in chest be purple.
With the chest passive even simple can drop jewels if I'm not mistaken.

This is the most efficient way to get the jewels/weapons you want, the passive really helps. I ended my long lich resto grind by just taking that passive. I will never need to use my knowledge of all the chest locations again

If only it was that simple. However it is not. I have to use the dungeon finder and go into groups in order to farm the items. Also, it is not the rings I am needing but the Amulet.

Too bad that none of the points in that champion branch of the tree where the passive is located is useful to me. Let alone to drop 75 points into.

You only need divines body pieces since the jewelry is purple, and it's better to use gold MD/IA jewelry instead.

^This, I can confirm the staves do exist. My bro got both sharpened inferno and lightning staves, but does not actually use or need them.

I've gotten 4 of those. I think the best one I had gotten was a Inferno with Sharpen.

I don't know what MD/IA stands for. If it's that arena thing that is almost impossible to beat, then I'm not going to waste my time on it.

MD = Moondancer, dropped from Maw of Lorkhaj trial.

IA = Infallible Aether, dropped in the three Craglorn trials.

Gold jewelry is a guaranteed drop from the last boss in vet, 2 for hardmode.

Edit. You can get the purple jewely from the coffers, and blue jewelry in normal.

Trials are essentially 12 man dungeons, and are by no means nearly impossible.

I looked through the UI and I don't see anyway of forming a group to the trial like you can with the dungeon finder. So that means you have to form a group on your own to do such a thing. If that's the case then there is really no point in attempting to do a trial. I would be wasting time just to even get in a group to play.

The trading system needs less money in it, not more. There are two types of players, those for whom gold is meaningless because they have ridiculous amounts of it with nothing remotely of a comparable level to spend it on, and those for whom gold is meaningless because they can never aspire to have it in any significant amount. The concept of BoP is a good one in principle, it gives players an incentive to keep running content rather than getting everything they want from the trader and then complaining about the lack of things to do. However, that isn't to say that the balance of RNG isn't in need of some adjustment.

This is why all my gear is crafted or jewelry I buy in guild stores, I'm a story teller and grinding the same dungeon to the point of hating it simply doesn't make sense. I tried, god knows I tried but I just can't face the gods of rng. These days I stick to normal dungeons, dress however the hell I like and just have fun with it.

The only dropped gear I use is the withered hand robe from alakir as its fairly common and looks amazing with pact light shoulders, redguard boots and a nice pair of thieves guild gloves, finished of with a stalrim staff for the whole fire and ice thing. Looks like a royal dragon Mage type

It was an amateur mistake paying out for the rings when you knew you would still be farming for a necklace. It's a mistake I've made myself. But the first rule of grinding is not to start paying coin until you know you will no longer be farming for it yourself.

Looks are one thing, but something that you should not strive for in PvP. I mainly play PvP, and in pvp you have to have the best gear set up you can get. Otherwise you will be killed many times on end. So even though I really do not want to keep spending time on getting these items, I have to in order to stay competive in PvP.

I had already spent 10 days without getting a single jewelry piece. I had to quicken the speed of it since no one is ever willilng to give up what they got. At least in random group finder. So I had to speed up the process in some way in order to get the items I need and move on to the next set of items i need. Today is day 15 of me trying to get these items. That's 15 days, 15 days of which I could of spent in PvP but can't because I need the proper gear first. I still need to get the amulet and then get a Bloodspawn helm from Spindleclutch II. Of which just like in city of ash, no one wants to give up a monster helm.

I want to add to the rant!

I have started to farm Necropotence. I already hat divine belt, sharp shock staff and 2 purple rings so I thought it will be easy.
I went to obsidian scar to look for gloves. After little more than 5 hours, I got the gloves I needed, not becouse I found them but becouse I kind player gifted them to me.
I killed bosses as fast as I could but for some reason ZOS has added a cooldown on how often bosses drop loot so I got loot usually only from every 3rd or 4th boss I killed. What is the point of this??!!

But on the other hand, I had a pile of impenetrable gloves, epaulets and 1 extra sharpened staff for Necropotence when I finished and those sold pretty good

I got 2 of the unique BSW rings (Scamplord's Signet) when farming the banekin/flame atronach vet achievements for COA1. Purple only, but that doesn't bother me, probably much more common than hoping for them off the final boss too.

Edit: I always forget boss names but the miniboss that likes to summon banekins drops it.
