How should I use my crown?

Yes I am a noob without a proper character.
During the crown pack sale a while ago, I was really impetuous and bought three 5500 crown packs... Now I have 19,000 Crowns...What should I do with them?
Should I wait til the Island is purchasable and make it my home/guild base? Or should I buy wild hunt crates? Or should I use them to buy DLC instead of buying eso plus? Or should I use them to buy those assistants in the crown store?
Please give me some advice....
Joined 2015, didn't play a lot and quit. Returned recently
Stamblade main, trying out other builds atm.

Get a feel for the game first. If you don't have a proper character yet, then work on getting one. That will get you a much better feel for what you enjoy in this game, and what you'd like to buy more of. There is no "right" thing to buy, it all comes down to personal preference. If nothing is jumping out at you then save the Crowns for when something does later in the year. Make sure you're getting your enjoyment in ESO from the core game itself, and not from the monthly roulette of *** that wants you to spend even more money. Those items should be enhancing the enjoyment, like a mount that fits your character design, or an outfit that you really like the look of.

Crates are definitely worth avoiding though - they're full of items you'd never buy individually, will probably never use, with most players only wanting some of the rarer items they offer. The mounts may look great but will probably cost you $150+ Crowns to earn one, which by most standards is just a ridiculous price for a digital assortment of pixels. You can find most players who spent that kind of money to get an Apex mount doing nothing but sitting in a busy town on top of their mount, desperately hoping for some attention to validate half a month's rent expenditure. Don't be that guy.

It depends on your financial situation in RL and what you want from the game.

Personally I think ESO+ is better than buying the DLC. You get the small buffs, crafting bag, free costume dye, extra housing items limit, 1,500 Crowns a month and soon double bank space.

If you're just looking for items which make your game better and not cosmetics, look at the assistants, character slots etc. these are things which can't be gained in the core and and give you an actual benefit.

If you're in a situation in RL where money isn't a problem and you just want to buy some things then look at what would look nice/cool with your characters and pick them up.

I'd say get the x4 DLC pack for 5k crowns if you're not going to sub.

Then I'd say yolo 15 crown crates see what you get OR save them and decide later. ( if you don't need anything and don't know what to buy why spend the money?)

    Things you shouldn't get:

Werewolf/Vampire Bites (Those can be acquired easily)
Experience Scrolls/Gems/Repairs (Those can be acquired easily as well)
Inventory/Bank Upgrades (You can get them with in game gold)
Respec Scrolls (Can be done with in game gold)

    Things you maybe should get:

Riding Lessons (It will take 180 days to max your riding skill, I'm fine with waiting but maybe you want to speed up, if you plan to PVP you will benefit a lot from Speed, otherwise Capacity will help you everywhere else)
Additional Character Slots (If you plan to have many characters)
All DLCs (If you aren't going to Subscribe)
Pledge of Mara (Awesome if you have a steady partner to play with)

    Things cosmetic:

All Packs that says Default Styles, Hair, Tatoos, etc. (It's awesome for Roleplay)
Mounts & Pets & Costumes (The selection of in game gold mounts is quite limited and is only horses)
Housing (I'd recommend get at least one house you like, mind the Island is dropping 28 April if you want to save for that)

I'd leave Crates for when you got everything you wanted/need. The assistants are too expensive for their benefits in my opinion but if you plan to lead a guild its handy to offer them at your guild hall.

Crates are only worth it if you want a lot of costumes, hats and pets as well as the mounts. I did, so they were worth it for me.

banker and merchant will save you time going back and forth to sell or storage staff
but not having dlc like Orsinium and dark brotherhood is a big minus (2 of the best parts of the game imo)
better get dlc than a house

    The assistants are useful.

The merchant allows you to sell off lots of white junk meaning your bags fill up more slowly.

The banker allows you even more freedom in that respect and especially for harvesting crafting materials because they stack. Used in combination with the bank manager revived addon, this can be a much cheaper and not too annoying alternative to the crafting bag.

Also consider that they have indicated that they might add storage to housing and we can expect this to possibly cost crowns. Accordingly you might want to sit on some of your crowns. The next crown pack sale will likely be towards the end of the year.

Personally I'd only spend them on limited time sale items which you really, really, really, really want. If you google - elder scrolls online datamining - you'll find various sites showing upcoming crown store items.
