Shield-charging NPC's going in any direction except down the Red Corridor

When doing PvE and fighting NPCs with shields, I've noticed that often the NPC will back off for a shield charge. The red corridor showing where we should expect him to charge shows. And then the NPC will go running in a completely different direction, often running over a player who thought he was safe because he was out of the red.
That should be fixed, I think.
