Usually you stack recovery on stamblade- 21% bosmer.
Bonus stealth damage
Increase resistance to disease and poison damage.
Wood elf is the best for majority of stamblade Pvp builds.

Ok, jokes aside - the fact that we are discussing here the best race / class combo proves how some aspects of this game are broken... racial passives used to be marginal - because of max caps - it was not that important. Now when you have 10% more stamina... you simply do 10% more dmg... for free... just because ZOS is racist in and favours some races - to a point when it simply does not make sense even from a lore perspective...

I rather have that zos remove racials so i can play argonian
I remember someone did the math a few months back and they found out that for a Wood elf to have the same regen as a red guard they would have to have 3k stam recovery.I will look for it but I could have sworn that's what was said. For majority of builds your better of stacking stam on a red guard you hit harder and sustain better than a wood elf.Wrecking_Blow_Spam wrote: »Bosmer.

I tried to do some math using Asayre's equations but there were too many unknowns and the number of assumptions that had to be made was just unsettling. The whole thing is too disorganized to post; multivariate functions will do that...
What I can say is, using a few test cases, bosmer regen was 70-100 points higher than redguard outside of combat, but in a situation where a melee attack could be made every 6 seconds (within 1 second of cooldown lapse) redguard effective regen jumped at least 300 points. What this means to me is redguard sustain is significantly better in PvE content: a controlled environment where you can engage with full resources and be in melee combat the entire fight.
In a PvP situation where you might double your base regen that in-combat redguard regen is a little less than half as effective as before, but may extend your fight by a few seconds. Realistically, bosmer regen will never be better than a similar redguard's mid-combat regen though bosmer have JUST enough passive stamina regen to differentiate themselves from redguards. (Which sounds strange because 21% looks huge)

This gives them a unique ability to maximize damage and at the same time improve sustain.
The larger your stamina pool, the larger amount of stamina return from Adrenaline Rush.
A redguard with 40K stamina will get back 1200 stamina on a melee attack every 5 seconds, which breaks down to 480 every 2 seconds.
Now consider that Wood Elf has 12% more recovery than Redguard. You would need 4000 Stamina Recovery in order for that 12% to be equivalent to 480/2 seconds. Obviously reaching these kinds of numbers is near impossible, and certainly is not possible without sacrificing damage.
So if you plan on sustained Melee fights Redguard is the hands down winner. More Damage and more Recovery.
