"Firstly, this one would like you to excuse him if his build looks a little silly. J'Fazirr-Dar is still growing in strength, and he finds himself using un-morphed abilities and having misplaced Ultimates on his Bow bar, (yes, I
was running Incapacitating Strike on my Primary and Secondary Bars, and that has since been rectified)...".

Right, with that out of the way, I'm going to get right into this. All of this happened a few days ago, and I was deciding whether or not to create a forum post about it, but then decided to anyway - a little comedic positivity is generally a good thing. PvP itself, on the good ol'Blackwater Blade campaign, was being fairly uneventful - there was low population, especially on the AD side, and not an awful lot was happening, (essentially, the EP kept plinking away at Sejanus Outpost while we Aldmeri bumblers were trying - and failing - to recapture Nikel after an embarrassing defeat at the hands of some
really good players). As a Nightblade, and someone who enjoys scouting anyway, (and who seems to be better at getting out of trouble than actually succeeding while in trouble), I decided to do some lurking around Nikel, and perhaps take some pot-shots at lonely Covenant soldiers standing on the walls; sure enough, there were DC players stationed there, though what was odd was that there was one AD character having what appeared to be a duel with a DC one.
Curious to investigate, I readied my bow and took a shot at someone who, I imagined, was spectating on a rock, and yet he didn't retaliate. I approached, remaining cautious, and the duelling DC character turned around and tried to attack me. I spammed my abilities like a nervous wreck and was able to evade him, and I hastily concluded that there was still hostility here, so I re-approached, drew an arrow, and fired again - this time at the duelling DC fellow. Unfortunately for me, I made a complete pig's ear of my escape and got evaporated, but ever-inquisitive, my useless Khajiit mounted his horse and once again travelled to Nikel Outpost. The duel had moved, this time, to the Main Gate, and there was now another player involved, (a Mag Sorc, if I recall correctly, at which class my bow loves to pelt). I assist my fellow Dominion warrior - a player who, evidently, was a self-sustaining gank-slaughter-monster - and we were able to best him, but, given that there were only two of us and no siege weapons were up, the DC mage respawned instantly, and the fight resumed. Initially, I thought that this would be some kind of AP farm, but upon forcing the DC mage into the walls of the outpost, my comrade set up a Battering Ram, and began pounding at the gate. It was at this moment that things began to look a little unpleasant...
A few DC soldiers appeared from the gates, then more, and then more - much to my dismay, I recognised these players immediately as being the banes of the AD/EP on this server, (renowned, notorious and feared greatly in the /zone chats of the Dominion). I initiated coward mode immediately, but saw that none of them were attacking, save for the person who destroyed the Battering Ram, (who then sheathed his weapon after it had burned to merely a pile of blackened cinders). I thought to myself, "No... ...could it be? An opportunity to friendly in PvP?", and I approached, sheathing my bow and coming out of stealth. I received a few light attacks as warning shots, though I was not discouraged, and I dropped a tactical /wave emote to show my friendly intentions. After some cross-alliance communication via the forms of /dance and /congrats, the DC too sheathed their weapons, and in response, I dropped to my knees and began to worship them for their awesomeness...

So, yeah, essentially, this is how my first ever friendly session initiated by enemy players who had no form of written/verbal communication with me began in Cyrodiil. "This one took the liberty of collecting some screenshots, but you must know that J'Fazirr-Dar, despite his handsomeness, is not as skilled with a camera as he is a bow or blade. Please forgive this one's lack of artistic angles and creative flair with his images...", (and that I'm always in sneak, for some reason...

)...

This lasted for around half an hour, before I decided that I'd played enough ESO for the day, and subsequently logged off. However, despite this meeting's seemingly trivial nature, this actually made my evening, and I found it so heartwarming that a group of very skilled players were willing to friendly with me and another AD player instead of eviscerate us, and remind me why their names are on my, "Toggle Recap", window so often. While rare and often silly, I find that social gatherings like this - especially between enemies who should really be trying to best each-other on the virtual battlefields of Cyrodiil - are really what make ESO for me, and engaging with pleasantries with other players makes me feel really rather good. I sent a few /whispers to those players who had names without wacky characters that aren't on my keyboard, and each of the Covenant players who I spoke to seemed like genuine, lovely individuals, who were thoroughly amiable and wonderfully kind in our albeit brief verbal encounter.
So, this was, pretty much, what happened in Cyrodiil, and man - it felt good! Meeting with the enemy - might I add,
skilled enemies, feared by my comrades, who could have deleted certainly me within an instant, (and eventually, my AD friend as well) - face-to-face, and them then allowing me and a fellow AD player to mess around with them, for me, was fantastically good fun, and a great way of subverting a little frustration that had arisen due to a very uneventful evening of PvP! What about you folks - do you have any memories of similar instances in Cyrodiil that you'd like to share?
Thanks for taking the time to read all of this, or at least skim over it - I'm aware that this post is boderline pointlessly long. All the same, thank you for visiting this thread, and have a great weekend everyone!
