The mages guild grind is very tedious and annoying once you did it a few times. I spoke to many people and reading through the forums it really withholds people to make a new magicka character since for most builds the mage guild skill line is essential.
Now my idea was something similar as the current champion point system, it will help people create new builds and gets rid of the huge, boring and pointless grind.
Once you collected the lorebooks on a character you can buy them via the vendor (already in the game of course). Now once you place them in your house, you can travel to it with your new character and read them and level the mages guild. In this way you only need to grind the mages guild just one time, same as the champion points, its equal accross your characters.
There is only 1 issue, people can travel to your home. So new players can also read the books even if they didn't have the books on another character. This problem could be avoided by making the system work in a way that other people that visit your house can't read the books or don't get the xp from it!
I know there are quite some complain posts about the mages guild and of course you can grind for hours to get it to max lvl, but this was just an idea I had!
(or just give us console players lorebook addons, that would be awesome haha!)
