An idea for the transmog system

You can use an essence extractor or *insert more creative item name here*, which is a rare and/or costly item to obtain. The item destroys your gear piece with a chance of extracting the piece's set bonuses. It could sort of work like upgrading crafted armor works with temps and wax. Anyway, you get this essence out of it such as [Essence of Illambris Guise]. Crafters can then craft another light helm in any motif style and trait they want with the essence's set piece. Perhaps make it require 10 traits researched or a specific crafting table made in housing.
This could also be a way to help out players who are getting really bad luck with RNG traits, as well.
