[PC] Having Accounts on NA and EU

So, I can freely swap between NA and EU as much as I want. They have different characters on them which I understand they are different databases.

My ESO+ transfers over.

Why don't any of my crown store purchases transfer over? It's the same platform, using the same account.

I mean, I'm not too invested in my EU account as I just started it, but I thought it strange it wouldn't transfer crown purchases within the same platform, but my ESO+ does transfer.
Make PC NA raiding great again!

Down with drama!

Not sure we gave ever had a real answer, could be to stop people abusing weaker currencies to unlock items.

You know like how I used to get 1.5 USD to the GBP.

I don't think it is for currency reasons. The Crowns work on both servers, just the purchases do not.

I think it is just too much trouble for them to make Crown Store purchases span the servers. It is a revenue losing direction for them, in more ways than one.

I wish they would, but it has been this way so long that I doubt they ever will.

I don't think that's the reason. You buy crowns outside of the game, and your crown balance is shared across both regions. I can already buy crowns with pounds and spend them on the NA server. As far as I know I can't buy crowns in dollars, but that's not because of the server I usually log into.

I suspect it's literally only because you purchase things in the crown store while logged into one specific server so they'd have to add some extra programming to make purchases carry over to the other server and either didn't think of it, thought it was too much work to add or wanted people to buy things twice.

That's the only explanation I can think of that fits with the fact that anything bought outside of the game is applied to your whole account and therefore both servers - like ESO Plus and the Imperial Upgrade when it was sold through the website and presumably Morrowind, but crown store purchases are server-specific.

    ESO+ is a platform-based account purchase.
Crowns are regional server-based microtransactions. They are, as you said, different databases and crown purchases on one regional server cannot be transferred to another, nor cross-platform. Items intended to be shared on a platform's regional servers will appear in the Store section, such as the Morrowind upgrade and the discontinued direct-pay Imperial Edition and Palomino Horse.

Seems that the original design wasn't to include crowns. When they made th swap they didn't change how unlocks or saves work....doesn't seem they care to make changes so we see it as gouging customers for money.
