How do you spend your time during loading screens?

Maybe I'm just lucky, but I never really have to wait that long 10-15 seconds on average. And I don't even have a top of the line pc. It's about 3 years old.

Back in the day I could prep dinner, cook it, and eat it before I got through the loading screens.

I don't usually have time to type up responses though. Though, sometimes I open the forums up on my laptop, and just switch over to it during a load screen.

Yeah they're just noticably shorter. Still enough for a mini-vacation though if you close your eyes and imagine yourself on a beach, with a cold beer in hand, and surrounded by beautif- Oh the screens done loading.

Loading screens don't seem that bad. Not as bad as loading on pretty much any game on a console with their slow drives.

I see from comments some PC people might not have SSDs. That sounds painful.

I also play in windowed full screen. That way, Alt-tab is never needed and I can just move mouse over to second monitor when needed.

I got very fast fiber, and just benchmarked my Samsung 850 Pro, which works fine, but today has been filled with long loading screens. Faster to ride between keeps...

If you don't have packet prioritization (QoS) set up (if your router even supports that) then anyone streaming Netflix, downloading apps, or on Skype/facetime will affect your gameplay. Chances are, you're probably also on the slowest tier for internet speed.

I mash buttons repeatedly mash button to avoid epic loading screens, it helps. People on the other side see my charachter freaking out, quite funny

I used to play in that mode, but then I realized I was getting lower framerate. Also, If you have SLI setup, it doesn't help when you run in windowed mode. I get about 15-20% boost in performance going full screen from windowed mode.

Usually first I stare at the beautiful concept art, the details and the composition, sometimes wondering what came first, the level design or the concept art...

... it it takes enough to get boring, I start to observe the 3-alliances logo spinning, so beautifully smooth...

... now for really long old art loading screens, I either get up and take a walk to be back in 5, check what's up with the surroundings etc.

New patches have really long loading screens but the concept art are superb, I usually get caught on those...

And remember how PvP could actually have "100s" of players on screen at once without terrible lag or FPS.

Think perhaps group composition causes long loading screens. Have played in a 24 man group all evening without long loading screens, but just changed group and the screens are back, and I lost a huge attack tick right now, again...
