See early on when guilds were getting the first vendors everything was somewhat equal.
Then much like the industrial revolution, the guilds that got vendors in high traffic areas exploded and those in out of the way areas failed and fortunes were made.
New guilds have no chance of displacing the behemoths because they can't compete enough to ever outbid. Only larger guilds can outmuscle smaller ones.
So the rich are multi millionaires and everyone else is stuck vendoring at a massive loss, giving money to the already rich or selling by yelling in town.
Essentially they designed the game as badly as actual economics so that even here 99% of the pop gets screwed.

There are people that do nothing in the game but buy/sell/trade. With how much there is to do in the game + the fact that not many people do the aforementioned thing, it makes sense that there are crazy-rich people.

There is nothing stopping you, other than yourself, from acquiring relevant loot, joining trade guilds, combo trade/causal guilds or even casual guilds and selling the relevant loot for profit. This will take time, energy, thought and you will need to learn a skill or two. I recommend the Tamriel Trade Centre addon, or if on console, the web site.
Since this does not involve instant gratification, or if you have a sense of entitlement, I suspect you would not follow this simple, proven set of actions.
Either way, try to have fun and enjoy the game, after all, it is just a game, not real life.

Idk, I feel like the discussion is fairly tame/not necessarily in violation of any rules.
