So the island home is definitely something I've been wanting. When housing was first released we got teased and we're able to run around it but we couldn't see a price, crown wise. Now, they are finally making it available for purchase, but only for 5 days! What is that about? C'mon! Plus it's going to have like a 15,000 crown price tag at least.

So, does anyone have any info on how much it's going to be? Us married guys need to start wooing our wives now if we have any hope to get one.

    I think ZOS has simply stopped caring about normal customers I understand that servers are ABSURDLY expensive but the focus that ZOS puts on the big spenders is horrible especially in a pay to play game

    World of Warcraft released figures on this many years ago. From memory their greatest expense was for customer service.

    Unfortunately Kotaku have taken the article down and wayback oddly has it but can't load it. At least for me. Maybe others will have better luck.

    This has undoubtedly had a negative impact on the game but taking into account the game's size, quality, publicly released investment figures in ZO etc. it would have cost them a fortune to make and didn't sell very well. It's possible they haven't even broken even yet.

    The game will always be safe because Zenimax's single player games make stupid amounts of money and the perception of failure on the part of ESO would hurt the brand, but there would be pressure on ZO to generate income. Big spenders can be a lucrative source of revenue.
