I disagree with the concept of Paywall. Its a game, you are supposed to provide premium items and services to those paying the premium price. If we keep making every benefit added to the game base-game-included then what's the point on being a Sub?
"Oh, I want an apple from this store but... they ask me to pay for it! Apples are behind a paywall"

Most people have no problem with paying for apple, but renting tree with monthly payments to get 1 apple.

So you prefer microtransactions to actual rewards for those who actively support the game?

It should be a QOL benefit. There is a massive amount of crafting styles, materials and sets. Take advantage of it with a transmog system. You shouldn't have to pay for that.
Honestly I wish they would go back to a sub based game, but they walked away from that.

They need a financial reason to add QoL benefits. You could argue that they will sell more motifs in the crown store. Or make transmog stones that you buy in the crown store.

But they make it financial then they become ZO$$$$, the greedy evil corporation.
Have higher storage for EOS+, or more crowns and the crafting bag. Give everyone the ability to transmog.

They are a business, not a charity. Their shareholders didn't invest because they are out to save the world. If it comes, it will be monetized. I would expect nothing less.

I agree with you, they are here to make money. Which is why I will always hope they go back to a sub based model. But when it comes to certain QOL options, at least for consoles, such as buff trackers, guild store search features and transmog, then why not.
I for one do not care to much about transmog, I craft and get gear and just dye it, but to others it is a big deal and is in most other MMO's.
