Crown Store: Merchant and Banker

Alright. I may or may not say some things that will contradict themselves so brace yourselves lol.

Now I love the idea of having your own personal banker and merchant following you around whenever you need them—however, the merchant would be SO much more useful if we were able to repair our gear or even purchase repair kits from them. The merchant was the second assistant I purchased (after the banker of course) and I honestly would have purchased her much sooner had it allowed us to repair our gear from it.

And the banker. Now I love Morty (my bankers name), he's a cool Dunmer. Always walking around jotting down lord knows what, and boy is he a fast runner. Now he is one of my most useful assistants. I take Morty out more than I do my merchant. But you know, it would be so much better if he gave us access to either our guild banks or just the selling portion of the guild traders we are apart of. Sometimes I honestly think to myself, what is the point of a personal banker if you're not allowed to post things into your guild store from wherever you are in Tamriel?

What do you guys feel about this? Do you agree with one, both? Or do you disagree with everything I just said? lol

I have them both and find their lack of full abilities annoying (especially lack of a guild bank) but I can somewhat see why they did it.

The merchant having repair options will open people to full grinding without ever needing to return to town, the banking limitations I can understand the store but am not sure why the lack of the Guild Bank.

Yeah, like I totally understand why they chose to do what they did with the assistants, but like idk. More often than not, I find myself forgetting to repair my gear before going into a dungeon and having to port out just to repair is frustrating. Yeah I guess it's my own fault for being forgetful but idc lol.

Or if let's say you're in a Vet Trial or something, it's your first time in there or you're training a bunch of new people on the mechanics of the trial. Having a merchant handy to repair your gear after the wipes would be so much better than having to wayshrine, repair your gear in the beginning portion, take the portal, and run all the way back to where you were. It just wastes time imo.

Not to play devils advocate, but fill your bank up with repair crates. I get that that sucks, but hey, it's something. Also, I think they did it this way so that people would be forced to go back to town, otherwise you'd never see people in towns. Especially with housing, you can have crafting and a fence, merchant, and banker. What would you need town for?
Yes, I do heartily repent. I repent I had not done more mischief; and that we did not cut the throats of them that took us, and I am extremely sorry that you aren't hanged as well as we.

I wouldn't mind the extra functionality for the banker. I only got the banker, and I use him all the time, so I am OK with the crowns I had to spend.

The merchant I don't think is worth the crowns, even with the repair functionality.

I also have both assistants and they are quite useful. Look, the have to force us out of the dungeons and what not and back into a city somehow, therefore they work well for the intended purpose which is a slight QOL addition to allow to to stay out there grinding a little longer.

That being said, where I would love to have the Full Function on a Merchant and Banker is in my home. I spent plenty of gold on my house and more than enough crowns on the assistants. When placed in a house they should have all actions that any other merchant or banker in the world has (heck, Chefs can repair my armor but my Merchant cant?). There actions in the game world however should stay the same so as to keep people moving throughout the game.
