Which future maps for 2018 ? What do you prefer ?

Somewhere that isn't mostly yellow or green. Landscape diversity in ESO is terrible. Most of the game looks exactly the same minus Coldharbour.

Soooo... probably some realm of Oblivion.

I voted for Summerset, but I agree with those that said that it'll have to be featured in a single player TES first, before it can appear in ESO

My second choice would have been a Daedric Realm... I'd love to see Azura's Realm some day

Nowhere with forest. Greenshade is supposed to be the most ancient and unspoiled part of Valenwood's forest and they gave us the above. Either ZOS, or the engine they use, simply can't do forests. All my time in Valenwood is spent thinking "Man, this is NOTHING like Valenwood."

I'd also steer clear of Summerset Isles because the lore for the architecture of that place is absolutely insane, and even if ZOS are up for it the engine definitely isn't. Alinor would suffer the same problems Valenwood does and only appeal to fans who don't care very much about the lore. Better to pick a location that will be both fun to play in AND suitable for the engine.

I've picked Elsweyr because there's a lot of grasslands and badlands there, and ZOS have already done wonders with similar zones like the Gold Coast, Bangkorai, and Craglorn. The southern jungles will be a challenge, but if they can get them right I might feel more optimistic about forested zones in the future.

Oblivion was my favorite of all of the ES games I played, thus I would LOVE to see more Cyrodiil. What they did with the Gold Coast in DB was a step, now I would love to see the other cities(Cheydinhal, Chorrol, Bruma, Skingrad and Bravil). Bravil is more swampy with it being near Black Marsh. Perhaps we see it when Murkmire comes(if ever).

I would love to see them redesign existing zones like that. I tried questing in Cyrodiil the other day and it was so bad. Every environment is exactly the same. A whole bunch of empty grassland with some trees dotted around by a procedural gen pass without any logic applied to where and how trees will grow. It felt like I'd glitched to a part of the map that was only supposed to be used as distant background visuals, with absolutely no detailing for up close exploration. Even the "great forest" is just grasslands with the odd tree dotted here and there.

And yet the Gold Coast in DB is absolutely breathtaking. Unique environment design, true to the original game, and incredibly well detailed and fun to explore. I wish this game had launched with only one or two provinces, and expanded on them with DLC and expansions. Because far too many vanilla locations feel rushed, with repetitive environments and architecture, and it's sad to think they'll likely never get the redesign they need. Poor Valenwood doesn't even have any space left for expansion. That place is doomed to be garbage forever.

You can see Cheydinhal and Bruma in the maps of Cyrodill pvp but different to the game of origin it's 1000 years before
