Crown Gifting: What can and can't be gifted?

During a recent correspondence with Zenimax Support, it was mentioned that Crown Gifting is actually something they are now supporting.

I had no idea this was even a thing they were considering. I think most people have probably never even heard about it. I wouldn't have either if I hadn't canceled my sub for a time and received a welcome back offer by email.

Anyway, it was then made apparent they aren't offering straight Crown exchanges, so you can't just buy someone else Crowns. What they are offering it seems is Crown ITEM exchanges. So, things that are currently on the Crown Store, you can buy with your Crowns for another player, if you contact support.

So this led me to wonder, what about Crown Crate items that you normally buy with Crystals? Can those be gifted as well?

If hypothetically someone had a friend, let's just call them Splinix, who they wanted to gift a Crown Crate Wild Hunt Horse to, could they spend their Crowns on Crates until they had enough Crystals and then contact support to gift them the item?

As far as this one she knows this is just a pilot scheme. Not yet available to all yes.

You would probably have to ask customer support themselves what they are willing to offer at the present time.

They've allowed gifting via tickets and Crown purchase items for a little while, although I think this still depends on the support person you get. There is one who helps EU who is an legend and really deserves a raise.

Not sure on ZOS stance with the gems, I could try and get in contact with that support agent and see what they say about it.

Absolute garbage that you can't gift everything, only items currently available in the CS. I'm sitting with umpteen mounts and other fluff on my Xbox account. An account i haven't touched for over a year now, yet I can only gift one of those mounts as it's the only one that's still on the CS.

From my understanding of this they wouldn't let you gift things you can't buy as the gift system was to remove crowns from your account but unlock on another, not remove your items and transfer. I haven't heard of anyone get that method yet.

Well I sent a ticket recently asking to gift the sabre cat when it was available and was told no. So either its a recent trial, only a few people at a time are being allowed, it depends on your support officer or its not something they allow at all or on limited items. Or a mix of the above. *shrugs*

Some clarification would be nice as this would be a neat feature.

I know the dream of being gifted a wild hunt horse is totally improbable. I'm not a popular streamer nor do I have thousands of followers on Face Tweets.

But clarification would be nice, even if only so I can continue to dream.

The email was on my other computer, that died
I got stuff last year for friends. I it was no personal stuff like hairstyles, personalitys
But pets, mounts, DLC and xp scrolls were ok

I bought friend 1 - a male lion mount
Friend 2 -10 xp scrolls
Friend 3 -a mount, a pet, DLC
This was before crown crates though ( and yes I'm on the PS4 - I wrote away for this ages ago)

We cannot gift anything.
They..as in ZOS can do whatever they want

No. Items purchased with crowns are used exclusively by the account holder.

I would give you mine if I could. I like the camel better. I'm on PC/NA so if you ever figure out how it can be done, just drop me a message. I'll give it to you if it becomes possible. I don't want anything for it.
