Another XP event O_O

Hey ZOS, I know it's the Anniversary, but slow down with the good stuff. It's a little excessive with these double XP almost once a month. But awesome with the daily rewards! How it should be!

Frequent double XP is good for helping new players level quickly. In a shorter time period, we'll have more end-game allies with whom we may run tough content.

My argument, of course, rests on the assumption that these fast-leveling newbies will take some time to learn mechanics and skills necessary to fulfill given roles. I think not all, but many power-leveling, newbies do care to learn to be good players and not just higher-leveled.

I couldn't play much last week but have time now so awesome to be able to level a new character at double XP.

However confused by this:

In addition to the above, all daily and weekly quests completed during the anniversary event will grant you an Anniversary Gift Box (along with their regular rewards)

What sort of quests give this reward? Do undaunted pledges? How about crafting writ missions? Wrothgar World Boss missions?

What type of missions do people try to farm to do this?

Hmm...so there's not a memento you can activate that doubles XP for everything?

And the XP bonus only applies to certain quests this time? Didn't quite understand what you meant about the dailies.

I like it, I leveled a templar with pie and now I can finish leveling my sorceror with cake. These were the two classes I didn't have at 50 yet.

I'm a bit of a completionist, and my first character did all of the alliance zones, leveled all the skill lines and crafting skills, found the skyshards, etc. Going back and leveling another character via questing is extremely tedious for me, because I've already done those quests before. I already know the outcomes and the story, and it's just not fun doing that all over again. Thus, xp events and Skyreach grinds let me get a character to champion level and into endgame fairly quickly, and that's, the part of the game I enjoy.

Dailies are for the goodies, has nothing to do with the double exp, unless you get some exp for the daily while your full of cake, then the exp is doubled. Otherwise it is normal exp, but you still get the goodies.

Not everyone can play every day or even every event. It can be helpful to have regular events.

What people don't understand about having double xp event every other week is that it takes away what's special about these events. It becomes an expectation to have it all the time. Then what's the point with events at all? What's the point of looking forward to anything?

Don't get greedy and ask for too much of the good stuff. Let it be something people look forward to.


If we had Christmas every week, would you look forward to Dec 24/25th? Probably not.

For me another double XP event will be useful cause I didn't have enough time to make and level up sorc while Jester's Festival was up. But...

Looking at all those already max lvl people grinding CP in Skyreach day and night, and now for another 2 weeks, looks pretty scary for me.
Imagine being grouped in trials/dungeons with 600+ people who don't even have idea what they're doing cause they got all their "experience" in Skyreach...

How about no OP?

I know of many many brand new players in this game and they need this "headstart" to catch up to the actual content (CP160 and onwards).

I have many guildies who can now also level up alts ( which they weren't planning on doing cause they are 1 character players )


I have 12 max lvl chars I am well over CP600 and I do not care about other people's exp gain why should you?

I had 5 Vet 16 chars back when the exp was slow and I welcome this incentive it will encourage new players to play

I like double XP events, very nice for leveling skills on alts, not bad for leveling new alts, also good for new players to get a bit of levels/cp faster. I mean, why not?

Maybe stupid: In Battlefield there also lot of 2XP events nobody complains there. It a different genre, yes i know but it works the same. Playing time experience are more important then lvl statics . And that must dungeon finder focus on play time experience. This is my opinion about it.

Being a beta player, I still have alts to level. I know slow right? I welcome this 2x exp. Want to get a little caught up before morrowind.

Double xp will no longer be double xp if they keep going on at this rate. Not complaining. No more inane quests and 15,000 banners per box, though.

Yeah... gaining XP is a good thing. Gaining AP to buy stuff from the gold vendor ? It is a pain...

Cus then it doesn't seem special and get people excited and logging in.

What if the real conspiracy is double XP is just normal XP and we really play with nerfed valued normally.
