Will Vivec be a boss fight in the upcoming Chapter?

Yes I know it's unlikely - we can't kill him until the Third Era for obvious reasons - but we've had fights before where we fought someone without killing them. Would you like to see a boss fight with Vivec occur, and why or why not?

Probably not. If I remember correctly in Morrowind you are working with Vivec.

Yeah, I am reminded that there is a high profile person who enlisted our help to finish a quest that ended up needing to be killed.

I won't complain. I don't think that Vivec ever survives any of my plays through Morrowind, so killing him would be tradition, and might save me some trouble in the future.

Vivec isn't really a bad guy, unless you consider that he, Almalexia and Sotha Sil all conspired together to kill Nerevar but that was so long ago so who can be sure?

But still.. he's not the one that went bat****crazy and killed Sotha Sil.

I figure, Vivec being Vivec, he might require us to fight him as some sort of test--remember Sotha Sil's quest in the temple in Mournhold.

Being Vekh... I expect moar of a puzzle with several meanings...

Anyway, I believe he sends you to recover the Kagrenac's tools and you end up getting back Wraithguard.

I also believe the Vestige could be a failed Nerevarine. Who knows?

    Erm... Some lore? Anyone? :)

First of all, Vivec achieved CHIM. He is literally as closed to a god as someone can be, starting from mortal. You can't kill him. Even if you "kill" him in Morrowind, he is still alive in Skyrim. NPCs talk about him abandoning Morrowind and that noone saw him since. But he is definitely alive. Even Nerevarin can't kill someone who achieved CHIM.

Secondly, Vivec is the most calm and level-headed character... Probably in all universe, honestly :) He has no quarrel with you. He has absolutely no reason to attack you and one honestly must work hella hard to become his enemy.

As for you... Well. You can have quarrel with him, if you wish. Quarrel with a true living god, good luck with that :) But Vestige is no match for Vivec. This "battle" won't even take a second lore-wise :)

    EDIT:

    You can be sure ;)

Take first letters from paragraphs of his Cantats. Or wait...

He was not born a god. His destiny did not lead him to this crime. He chose this path of his own free will. He stole the godhood and murdered the Hortator. Vivec wrote this.

    He admits it pretty much.

I killed Vivec in Morrowind, also all that MK post-employment stuff is non-canon.

This is the answer. We are saving Vivec in that story so it would not make sense for him to be a boss in the new trial.
