Yes I know it's unlikely - we can't kill him until the Third Era for obvious reasons - but we've had fights before where we fought someone without killing them. Would you like to see a boss fight with Vivec occur, and why or why not?

First of all, Vivec achieved CHIM. He is literally as closed to a god as someone can be, starting from mortal. You can't kill him. Even if you "kill" him in Morrowind, he is still alive in Skyrim. NPCs talk about him abandoning Morrowind and that noone saw him since. But he is definitely alive. Even Nerevarin can't kill someone who achieved CHIM.
Secondly, Vivec is the most calm and level-headed character... Probably in all universe, honestly He has no quarrel with you. He has absolutely no reason to attack you and one honestly must work hella hard to become his enemy.
As for you... Well. You can have quarrel with him, if you wish. Quarrel with a true living god, good luck with that But Vestige is no match for Vivec. This "battle" won't even take a second lore-wise
