Bug: Senche Cat armor color change (resolved)

Hi

I bought the mount on the left. All of a sudden it looks like the mount on the right.





What's up with that?

It changed fur color and armor color out of nowhere.

edit: It might also be worth to mention that the dye "Transliminal Violet" also went from the gold shade in the picture on the left into a pure blue in the picture on the right.
This happened simultaneously.

I thought this only affected the Imperial Horse but go to settings and find the mount settings for hide armor, hide saddlebags, and hide riding leathers. Confirm that they are all checked as on (i.e. you are not hiding them).

It looks like the graphics settings were lowered. Could be the issue there. Some colors are changed the lower the settings.

They are the same with or without "hidden" on.

They are also the same on all low to high settings. I've also played on very low settings and still had the gold color before.

Since it's affecting your character too (and not just the gold dye, the colour and texture of the chest piece has changed too) my guess is it's a graphics bug with how metallic surfaces are displayed.

I suggest:
1) Submit a bug report in-game, just in case ZOS aren't already aware of this.
2) Try using /reloadui to see if that fixes it. (Maybe log out and back in too, but both should work and reloading the UI is quicker.)
3) If that doesn't work try changing your graphics settings, one at a time. Switch each one to a lower setting, wait for the change to kick in (or reload the UI) then switch it back. Sometimes if I have a problem with the graphics that fixes it.

Thanks for the tips and I think your exactly right in your assumptions. However, none of your recommended fixes have worked, and the problem still persists.

I'm going to desperately tag @ZOS_GinaBruno in hope of some assistance.

Just tried a full uninstall / reinstall, but it did not change anything. Problem persists.

Just updating with the fact that a reinstall of the graphics card drivers did not remedy the situation either.

Maybe a mod could move this thread to technical support, seeing as it wasn't a crown store exclusive problem after all?

Did you change your dye colors before this happened? At the start of jester event I dyed the jester hat and my group showed the same dye colors for the day. It was only on my end that they appeared this way. It looks like your armor and mount are the same color is why i ask.

No.
I happened after I was killed in Cyrodiil. When I ressed I noticed my armor had changed shades but in the heat of battle I just thought it was shadows or something. In a quieter moment I then noticed that my mount had also lost its gold colors and everything was a drab grey/brown. This effects all colors at the dye station (obviously) and just as an example the orange you get from CoA is now almost black.
