Understanding weapon traits and passives

It is now well known that if you have an inferno staff back bar and a lightning staff front bar, and you put down wall of elements with you back bar and then bar swap to front bar, you will get the 8% increased AoE damage from the shock staff passive, even though you used an inferno staff for the skill.

Does this also work with weapon traits? Specifically, if I put down my Endless Hail/Arrow Barrage with my bow back bar, and then switch to my front bar with a sharpened weapon, do I get the sharpened effect on my Endless Hail/Arrow Barrage even if my bow is not sharpened? The reason this is relevant is this would make an Infused Maelstrom bow BiS over a Sharpened Maelstrom bow. It just might be kind of difficult to test.

Now that I thought a little more, this would be irrelevant, because the Sharpened trait would most likely override the Infused trait if it did apply while on your front bar.
