Can't respawn

I don't know what happened, but I play on PC NA and this just started this morning, but whenever I die, I can't do anything. I can't respawn with soul gem. I can't use wayshrine. I can't toggle recap. All I can do is bring up the game menu and log out with my character and log back in. I use an Xbox One controller, but when I switch to mouse and keyboard I still have the same problem. I have tried deactivating ALL my add ons and the problem still persists. Any idea what is causing this? This is making vMA even more infuriating than it normally is, considering I have to completely relog after every death.

I would make sure that you deactivated them all. After today, addons like HarvestMap and the Lazy Writ Crafter tended to render the game unplayable (for April Fool's jokes, but it backfired). In my case, I too couldn't respawn, my text was a funny color, and it turned out to be Lazy Writ Crafter. If that doesn't work, transfer your addon's folder to your desktop and THEN see if it persists as disabling addons sometimes still allows them to be accessed.
