Hide shoulders

theblackmage7
Would it be possible to implement an option, like the hide helmet one, to hide shoulders? Some outfits look great except for these large floating shoulder pieces, which throw me off. Thoughts?

There's been a million threads about this but no official comment that they are looking into it...

For me, the only costume with shoulders that doesn't look stupid is Covenant Scout on my Orc. I keep Servant's Robe disguise on alts so that I have something decent to wear.

Rarely are there threads about this and none last long. Doubt there have even been 50 short lived threads during the past year. Probably not even 10.

There really should be an option to hide any individual armour piece we want to hide.

Far too often games like this offer too few customisation / costume options and everyone ends up looking more or less like most other members of that Class/Race combination.

ESO has managed to avoid some of that, but could do a lot better IMO.

Ideally we should be able to toggle a Hide or Costume Piece for every armour slot.

I agree on wanting options to hide any armor piece. I would def hide shoulder wingies from my mage robes but I can also see a Khajiit or Argonian wanting to hide boots/gloves to have their sharp claws exposed. Less limits = good.

Would also love to get rid of hip flappers but, unfortunately, they are an integral part of most mage robes - pretty silly.

No, cause then you will just have people running around naked. I'm all for costumes, and customizing armor (changing styles etc) but allowing people just look like they are wearing nothing would break even the slightest amount of immersion I give a crap about.

Would love a hide shoulders option. Dungeon shoulders are really really...clashing with most styles in game.

I always run in outfits, simply because it looks ugly having a bunch of different sets at once. And there is a limit to the outfits that look good and don't come with shoulders.

I was thinking about this just today, and then I came to the forum and saw that you'd made a thread about it. Yes, please! There are so many awesome armor sets that have ugly, terrible shoulders. I'd LOVE if we could hide the shoulders.

It's not just shoulders... We need an option to be able to hide each individual piece of gear....

Don't tell me it's not right for a heavy armor tank to appear naked in middle of battle, taking blow after blow like it's nothing, when we already have that now with costumes.

Personally I don't like wearing my shoulders either sometimes, or my gloves, or my robe, or my shoes..... or my pants?

Lol but seriously, it would allow for a lot more customization than we're already allowed. It wouldn't be hard for them to do, despite what some might say since its already in place.

It has been brought up several times in the past though, this and many other cosmetic features have been requested and never officially 'denied'.

This is a request that's been made since Release.

A transmog system might kill two birds with one stone here. Regardless, it would be nice to do something about the worst offenders.

Some of the shoulders are overdone. It would be nice to hide them. At least with crafted sets you can mix match styles to make things look okay, but with looted sets you don't have this option.

Honestly they need a friggun wardrobe system of some sort!!!! Or even charge us $20 a piece to unlock a custom costume slot where we can make our own!!!!!!!!! I wouldn't mind paying for it, sure free would be better, but just give the players what they ask for already!!!!!

They really think that allowing us to change all items into one new motif with Morrowind will satisfy this desire to transmog items... it wont.....

People want to create their own looks, not be forced into the same generic outfits that are slightly reskinned and remodeled....

You do you and Ima do me... that is all I want.

I agree, players running totally naked should not be allowed but I think bracers/gloves, pauldrons and maybe chest pieces should have a toggle.

I want the option to wear helmets and/or shoulders while wearing a costume. But yes ultimately an option to hide/show them would be nice.
