Lakayd - F this fight *spoilers*

So here I am, a level 14 night blade just running through the thief guild quest line cause i enjoy the stealth aspect of it when I get to the tomb to steal something, idk I'm not paying attention here and quite frankly I really dislike Zeira (really wish I could kill her) when I get to this guardian thing Lakayd with no possible way for me to even come remotely close to beating him. He practically one shots me with his spin of doom (which clips through objects yay) and starts that almost instantly once he uses some dumb chain pull spell.

What about Zeira you ask? Well she doesn't draw agro and only does 1 point of damage per hit... 1. The other Thief Guild members? They all stand or cower in fear... big help there.

So I've now died about 20 times, and every time I try to fight/dodge it's no good because he splits and regains all his health and again 1 shots me. Yes you're right, I should come back when I"m a different class at level 1000000000000000000 to win with all my skills unlocked... but I shouldn't have to. I"m a thief, I'm not supposed to be a super warrior, I'm supposed to use stealth and intellect to steal things.

STEAL NOT FIGHT... did anyone who created this story line play any of the Elder Scrolls the lore is even.... oh yeah you're supposed to kill innocents for the Dark Brotherhood in this too so no I guess no one did read the lore. (That an the billion other inaccuracies yeah I know) Anyway I"m done, I'm going to abandon the quest or leave or something because as it stands I can not win this fight... which is bull

Don't suppose anyone has a nuke handy I can borrow?

I'm sure there's gotta be some guide somewhere...

if you have to - go put on some heavy armor, and make sure you have something to eat or drink, and, slot some health potions...

I get what you're saying and I understand the frustration, but the game was not designed for you to be doing that content at lvl 14. It's that simple. That being said, if you really want to do it at that lvl, your best chance would probably be to slot Rapid Maneuver and use a kite and DoT strategy to kill it.

You might check out a youtube kill video. That being said, you should be able to do it, though it might take a few tries. Few tips(Some are fairly obvious if you've played a while):
* The SECOND he pulls you in you have to tumble away. It's like Spindle I in that sense.
* Sounds like you're melee. Get some blue stam/health food if you don't have any yet. If you have a ranged weapon, use that. If you can grab one more level to get your weapon swap unlocked that will make your life even easier.
* Healing pots are awesome.
* Make sure you're killing the aegises.

As for not supposed to being able to do the content then...ZoS specifically said 'you can just jump in and play at lvl 3'.

Remember that fight, it was hard, benefit is that the other thief guild members keep the boss from resetting so its just to resurrect and continue fighting.

This is the correct answer. Don't use a soul gem if you die in the end boss fight. Respawn at the wayshrine which will put you at the top of the stairs in the bosses room. The boss's health will not go back up to 100% if you do this.

Seconding the advice to use a food/drink buff amd the advice that Thieves Guild boss fights really weren't designed with level 14 characters in mind. It really might be better to level up, get more attributes and more skills.

(Also, I'm pretty sure the Dark Brotherhood kills plenty of innocents even in the other TES games. Everyone the DB asks you to kill has a contract or a Black Sacrament out on them.)

Ya i just did that fight .. all i did was resurrect and keep fighting only got two shots off before death each time. If you pop a potion u can get 4 or so off.

If nothing else works: it's a multi player game, ask for help. I don't even remember this fight though I finished the storyline on 5 chars. But if it gives you trouble I would definately wait with the Dark Brotherhood storyline...
