The Covetous Countess Bugged?

Whenever I try to do The Covetous Countess thieves guild repeatable quest, I'm always tasked to find the same three objects: "Collect Clean Games, Dolls, and Statues"
When I did these quests last year, I remember being asked to find a wide variouty of other treasures, but now I'm just getting the same over and over. This makes it almost impossible to build up an inventory of laundered goods.

Anyone else have this problem? This seems to only happen on my new character, not the old one.

I abandon that quests and get a new one any time it comes up. That quests makes very little gold compared to the others. I'd recommend just abandoning it and trying to get one of the other dailies.

That might be, but it is the best way to farm Abah's Watch motifs. But it's impossible as long as I'm limited to the same three treasure types

I'm doing that one a tonne these days for the motif and I find I get dishes way more than anything else. I'm not experiencing what you do though and I do get other treasure types... I find it helps if you keep the laundered items you get for the next time you run the quest. Like you say, you'll have an inventory and you'll spend more time in load screens delivering items than anything else.

I'm starting to suspect the repeatable quests are level restricted. Every single one of them are directing me to Daggerfall for lockboxes, pickpocketing and clean item deliveries. My new theaf is lvl 6, so perhaps I will "unlock" more variations as I lvl up.

If that's the case, they really should be changing it now that One Tamriel is out

I'm mostly getting requests for drinkware/utensils, but also sometimes maps or other item types - PC/NA. Not bugged for me as far as I can tell. Note that you can drop the quest and try for another - she may then ask for different goods.

I've been getting a variety of laundered items to give the Countess. Most often, the dishes and cookware, or maps and writing, or utensils. Then ames, statues or oddities, but very seldom.

I've tried to do the Covetous Countess dozens, maybe hundreds of times. It ALWAYS ONLY ASKS FOR 'Ritual Objects & Oddities'. Always. If I have the items from random thieving I'll complete it. Otherwise I'll abandon it and re-try. Always the same items.

Additionally... after opening many, many large laundered shipments I have NEVER GOTTEN ANY 'Ritual Objects or Oddities'. Never... not once. I get all the other items on the known list of Covetous Countess items and I keep them hoping one day they'll fix this and I'll be set to complete it multiple times.

    Until then... Bugged.

    What level are you, @ekaw
Also, what city are you asked to deliver the clean Ritual Objects or Oddities? I was always directed to Daggerfall, but if you're not on DC things might be different.

Also, it wasn't just the Covetous Countess that never changed, it was all the repeatable quests. They always asked me to go to the same places and get the same kind of items.

I don't care about the gold. I just care about the motifs and the time spent. The countess quests require just a single port to drop off and a single port back.

I also always have items in my inventory for that quest on multiple characters. I never have to farm.

It is possible that retrying without completing will give the same items to find. Personally, I am not getting the same thing repeated, but I can try again today.

I also know for a fact that I got Writings & Maps on multiple characters during the anniversary when new characters were joining the guild and didn't have a stockpile of laundered goods, though I don't really recollect what else I got assigned.

The only toon I run those quests on is level 22 or so but I started early on and it has never changed. The deliveries for Covetous Countess are always to Elden Root in Grahtwood. However I run the 'Crime Spree' quest for lockboxes often and it varies slightly as to the first location (sometimes starts in Auridon, sometimes in Grahtwood, then Greenwood and Malabal Tor).

I have completed the Covetous Countess numerous times. But if I don't have the items (again, ALWAYS 'Ritual Objects & Oddities') I'll abandon it. Sometimes I'll try again and again just to see if it's different but it never is. I even tried logging in on another computer to see if it was a local cache issue and it was exactly the same.

Here's someone else with the identical issue who says it's ok on his level 50:

And I still think it's odd that I never get 'Ritual Objects & Oddities' in the 10x stacks from the Large Laundered Shipments. I've submitted a "Support Ticket" for whatever good that'll do.

For me it's about 80% dishes and utensils requests, followed by clean linens/wardrobe accessories, and coming in third writings/maps. I get the other two very rarely. I finally caved and bought the last two chapters of Abah's watch because I was sick of grinding this, but the counterfeit pardon edicts came in really handy during the Princess pig fetch quest for Jester's Festival.

I've accumulated two stacks of 30+ for each category that I keep stored in my bank, and since the banker is right there near the quest board, it's easy to go get three of whatever for the first quest then work from what I'm handed. At the end of an hour or however long I want to grind, I bank enough stuff to top up the stacks and sell the rest.

I'm pretty sure this quest is level-limited; if you're doing it on a new character (sub 10 or 20) you may well get the same thing over and over again because you have to level up to the next highest ten levels to get a different one. I did the Covetous Countess on one of my characters to farm Abah's and started out fresh and got the same request over and over...when I dinged 10 or 20 (can't remember) I started getting a different request. When I dinged 30 I started getting a different request, etc. I also had the possibility of getting the prior level requests too. But if your character is still very low level they will only get the one set of requests, because there's no other ones to cycle yet.

I have passed lvls 10 & 20 on my toon with no change to the requested items. Perhaps after lvl 30.

Just thought I'd update this... my thief just passed level 24 and the quest immediately changed. Now it only asks for 'Writings & Maps'. So far hasn't asked for anything else. And the delivery location has changed from Elden Root to Marubruk.

While her quests maybe level related, as to what zone you go to, which determines the loot you have to provide, I have found that I had the same delivery point for several quests in a row, this on my CP ranked characters. So, there might be some sticktion in the quest table for her.

As for the Games, Dolls and Statues, a quick run through the boats in Daggerfall near the Wayshrine will get you those items if you don't have them in the laundered containers. If not there, Orsinium will do. But I would get what I needed from the boats quicker.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

So I had the same objects from about 1 to 15 then when I clicked over it changed to Ritual objects and Oddities. At 24 I got a different Quest but only for a day and then it went back to rituals and Oddities at 30 I got a different Quest but only for a day and then it went back to rituals and Oddities. I literally have Stacks and stacks of the other Goods but all I get is the one I don't have. I've done this on another 2 and before 2 with lower levels and it always changed I don't understand why it's bugged.

Think they keep you to your faction zones at low level, undaunted daily delve does.
Its an help for new players who has not explored the world.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
