Hey, i am only about 200 CP Mag Sorc so of course dont have all the BIS gear at the moment. And mainly just running dungeons and not trials yet. But as of right now, i am running 2 ilambris, 5 BSW, 3 willpower and just a random sharpend staff. So here is my questions. My main bar i run a fire staff but on my back bar i am confused on which would be better, fire or shock? Currently i run both liquid lightning and wall of blockade on my back bar. So on the back bar i have more of my AOE damage which the shock staff gives extra damage to but the fire staff on wall of elements helps keep BSW up as much as possible and of course the burning status you get from it. So just confused on the back bar, fire or shock? Thank you guys for any advice.

As soon as you switch to your front bar you will lose the 8% AOE damage and gain the 8% single target damage. Since you're going to spend most of your time on your front bar, you need to decide whether you generally want to have you AOE or single target damage boosted. For boss fights it can make more sense to have fire on the front. For trash, lightning. It also depends how much of your total damage is from AOEs or single target attacks. For example, a lightning heavy attack build will use mostly aoe skills.

Totally didnt know that when you switched the bar i would lose and gain that 8% extra damage. I thought if you used the ability with that staff that is what you get from it. Thanks for that info, I am a returning player and use to main Mag DK so of course that was easy and then they just changed all the passives. Think it may just be better to go double fire then to help keep BSW up more plus the burning status. In trials i think there is the one CP perk i think that may help if using lightning staff due to 10% extra damage to off balance or concussion i think. Thanks again man, for that info.

In Trials, healers are now the dedicated lightning blockade runners to give everyone the Exploiter passive (assuming they've put 75 points there). In small groups or solo you'll get more milage doing lightning yourself, but you have to balance the higher rate of Minor Vulnerability and Off Balance against less fire damage to proc BSW. Personally, I run Necropotence outsise of Trials most of the time, so having lightning blockade is better in that context.

Yeah, agree with you. Didnt know healers now are dedicated to that. I am a returning player and now on a different platform but havent played since last June and as you know MMOs are constantly evolving so having to relearn stuff. Thanks for the input and help again.
