Am I an idiot for wearing a disguise?

Just quick question stated above. I love the look of the servants robes from stros m'kai, and I just wear them all the time. I guess what I'm really asking is if everyone else sees me in them? Or if they affect play in any real way?

I have worn those very same servants clothes my self, well they were the Pants and Shirt, not robes. Lots of people wear those game supplied costumes. If you like the look, then wear and be proud. Or, at least not embarrassed.

Note, you can dye most costumes, just not sure about the ones the game gives you for a quest, so keep that in mind.

All of my characters have little quirks. One of them (Miya) always either dyes the costume she is wearing to a different color or changes costumes right after finishing any dungeon or trial. Even before turning in the pledges for keys I hit the dye station.

Games are about having fun and for me the costumes add to the fun.

This is Miya. One thing I like to do with her just because it cracks me up is whenever I see a big ole hairy male in a wedding dress she puts on the tuxedo and goes to stand next to him.

they're really useful for covering up that hideously looking vamp skin...

I like to play all alliances, so, when I'm crusading through cyrodiil I like to rock the 'hallin's stand seventh legion' disguise on many of my characters...

my buddy did dog me out for wearing that servant's disguise in a dungeon for not looking 'tough' enough :)

the servant's disguise from hew's bane looks way to "poofy" though...need to go pickup the kollopi essence disguise...

If you like it, its fine. I saw far too many vampire Orsimer in pink wedding dress, or hairy Nords in towel with owl head for their helmet.

I am not a disguise person, have never bought a Crown outfit and the only hat I might wear is Cadwells crown because to me it displays an achievement. I am so boring I don't even use the dying station to colour my gear.

But I do not think anything less about those who do wear them, if you want to, go right ahead - nothing to do with me. I do think twice about the male in a wedding dress, or in any female outfit for that matter, but hey, each to their own :)

Just a quick additional note for the OP. You can dye costumes, however, unless you are an ESO+ member, you will need to buy the dyes from the crown shop. And if you have costumes earned from achievements and use the crown store dyes, even though they are account wide wearable, the dye only applies to the one that applied it. Again a reason to be an ESO+ member I guess.

Afaik, disguises are not able to be dyed.
