Please give us raw materials instead of refined materials for doing basic writs

Please ZOS, please give us ore instead of refined material for our rewards when doing basic writs. The refined material has essentially no value unless it's rubedite, silk, rubedo or ruby ash. It doesn't make any sense to "reward" us with trash. Please consider giving us raw ore instead of refined material for doing basic writs. At least that way we have a very small chance of refining something valuable from it.

Totally agree, I'm unaware of any use for trash resources other than lowbie training gear.

This is exactly what it is for since scaled zones don't allow for high level players to find low level mats. This way you can build up a surplus of lower level mats to craft for your alts/friends/guildmates/selling on store for lower level players

Agree. Its not so bad when you get stuff for levels 1-49 because at least then you can craft training gear for lowbies etc. But the champion level 10 to champion level 130 stuff? what use is that of all. And that is generally what I get the most out of for rewards.

But that function remains when we'd get raw mats instead of refined.

If they do that, they're likely to pull the chance to get gold mats from writ rewards.

I don't comment here often but when I do, I get [snip]

I agree with this. You're giving us already refined mats. Therefore no ability to refine them for a chance at tempers or anything. I find that really frustrating
Feel free to add me. I'm part of the Gummy Guars PC/Mac NA server. Master crafter and working on getting 9 traits on everything

The reason we get those little crates of lower level matts is because we can no longer go to the right zone to get the level matts we need. It was Zos's answer to this issue created when 1T came out. Nothing more.

So getting the unrefined would be nice but the current design meets the overall need it was designed for.

^ agreed. For crafters how it is now is good, my low level stores are fully topped up now and before I had to waste time farming.

Raw would also be cool, for temper chance but for those that don't get why it is how it is now that's why.

I'm also in agreement. Now with the housing addition, tempers become much more valuable. Getting a crate of refined mats removes the ability to generate more tempers.

I also recommend changing the base number from 25 to 50.

Fingers crossed the change happens!

It's fine the way it is. You get refined mats from the surveys. And there's an unlimited supply of stuff to refine out in the world.

Yes I understand the reasoning, but it's annoying to use 50 or so Ancestor Silk and get rewarded with 25 Voidcloth. Or 50 Rubedite and get rewarded with 25 Quicksilver. Pointless. Good idea in theory, bad in practice.

Wouldn't giving us ore allow us to refine the material as well?.....yes, yes it would.

You didn't need to waste time farming for low level mats. Low level mats are essentially given away in guild stores. .....because they are already so readily available.

There aren't very many people in game that do more crafting than I do. The only way it's possible to do more crafting than I do is to have more than one account. I'm tired of being rewarded with trash for doing max level writs with toons that can not be leveled any higher in any crafting skill.
