fight club build your own private arena . Is your duelling arena working as intended ?

Hi all
Just a quick warning to those of you out there building a duelling arena . Be careful building over water or on a raised platform . Ground based aoes don't seem to work as they are cast on the platform but on the ground below , if you can cast at all . I would love some feedback from others , is this is just me or a universal problem ?
I have ticketed it to find out if this is a bug or intentional but with only the standard ,I have passed it to a team that may know but don't expect a response . Try posting on the bug forum . (Para phrased) which I have done but no reply . Even tagged @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_KaiSchober and @ZOS_KaiSchober . Still nothing .
I wish I could get some sort of acknowledgement/ feedback as if it's intentional the fight club comp is very misleading
Any of you out there having the same issue please comment on this post to see if we can get an answer

Have you ticketed it ? If not please do as I think it more than sucks . Esp as I only bought earthtear for my guild to use as a duelling centre. I m on PS4 what platform do you use ?

I'm PS4 as well, and the textbox they provide for tickets don't have a high enough word count to make an appropriate response. I make a thread on here in the past about it, but I received no feedback.

That's why I made mine on the ground with rocks In a circle I first made a huge floating dueling arena but the first duel the sorcs mines and my ground AoEs went straight to the water.

would be great to have that sorted, players have been really creative and spending hours designing and building arenas to then just be rewarded with a frustrating and unusable result.

I love the dueling arena. But can't use it. Housing seems more and more pointless.

With zos promoting a competition for duelling arenas it makes the more creative examples useless to actually use it . I question how much thought goes into both the comps and testing

My 5 main arena areas is setup with specific mechanics. like on is small in enforces CQC, or you fall in water one side and slaughter fishon the other.

The ground AoE does work for 3 of mine due to placement of the arenas, but they aren't meant for that.

Great now my ticket had been closed with out any word if this is a bug or intentional . All I got was pointed to the legal dept as I asked about a refund

I have not tried it myself, but I read that this is the issue. It is a bug, yes.

I build i large deck over the water in hundings palatial hall. Ground abilities under platforms, knockbacks sending me into the water, sorc pets disappear after walking onto the deck, even though they are still summoned according to the skill bar. It's terrible. I put a lot of time into creating my dueling area just for it to be completely non-functional. Go figure. Hope they fix it with morrowind.

I spent hours building a sky arena.

Just to have my friends laugh at dueling in that because of how broken everything a is.

Ground aoe's don't work and some ulti's will send you through the floor.

Guys ticket it please . More tickets more notice they may take . I have been fobbed off n passed from dept to dept n finally had ticket closed without any acknowledgement of bug

You should watch their ESO live shows or recordings.

It's been addressed weeks ago and in short, they are aware of this and knew before it launched.

That's why they didn't respond here but also they responded on the PTS forums. If you're console only, it's best to read those and seek info.

Doesn't look like this is going to change anytime soon. Maybe in a future update, maybe but it didn't sound like something their working on.

Note if you duel in the world, the same thing occurs

Just bumping this thread before I sink hours into my first duelling arena...

There doesn’t seem to be much info past about April.

Does anyone know if this still the case? Have any of the issues been solved? E.g. AoE’s now work, you can’t be pushed through walls etc!
