How the Devs fixed the META and Power Creep in DOTA LOD
ESO and its build diversity is reminding me A LOT of the moded "Dota" lod (Lod is a mod that allows you to pick any skill from any hero to crate your own build with up to 6 skills)
So in the beginning the LOD meta was the STUN PICKS and Evasion + Crit builds (a.k.a proc sets) and while the time passed , the devs were taking notes based on players feedback and they did the following things:
1:After being stunned or rooted you receive stacking resistance to stun duration in the next 10 seconds and every following stun /root that affects you has reduced duration by 50%
2: Critical Strike skills were changed from stackable to unstackable at the same time THis means you cant proc for example Viper and velideth with a single light attack.
3: Evasion in Doto has major counter Item that provides True strike allowing you to successfully land all of your hits on the cost of disabling your critical strikes.
4:Unkillable TANKS the counter to them were skills that deals unmitigatable damage based on enemy current hp%
From the written above I make a conclusion that
- there are many tweaks that could improve our PVP balance but they also require excellent coding skills that might the developers of this game lack (even they are saying that they do not prefer to make "a lot of changes even they are small cuz they just might broke something else xD "
- second conclusion : TO prevent the possibility of broke the game with tweak coding , the one can just give us few new utility sets like
- When loosing more than 70% Of your Current Health in less than a 1 second grand 2 seconds damage immunity (10 seconds CD)
- While equipped your attacks cannot be dodged but your critical strike damage bonus is reduced by 30%
- inflicting damage with direct attack against blocking targets causes you to deal 4% of their Current Health as Oblivion damage
- Each Time you take damage you stack resistances against harmul effects reducing 4% of the duration for each stack (Maxmum 20 stacks) Last 10 seconds
