Can treasure map chests drop paintings on console?

I don't know about as of yet for treasure maps for sure, but I did get a purple Paintings of Summer, Sturdy, today from a chest deep in the mountains. First painting. On ps4.

I got paintings from simple chest inside public dungeons and delves.
But paintings only sells 6k in guild traders.
You'll probably be better off by opening treasurer chests in Cyrodiil to get alliance motifs, which sells over 12k in guilds traders. Then you can buy two paintings.

Does no one really know? I have tons of maps and I don't want to waste my time only to find out they're worthless lol

they've been available in treasure chests since the thieves guild anniversary, i believe. ive found many since then on PS4.

This post is referring to specific chests that require a treasure map to find.

Considering that this weeks maintenance I assume we get all fixes the PC guys got from up to 2 weeks ago (that's the time console certification usually takes). So yes, I would be very surprised if this fix would have been excluded.

Minor nitpick at the ESO live guys: when you announce patch details on your show then also do this for the Console version. You only mentioned the PC patch but didn't said anything about this upcoming Console patch ...

I would love to hear an official response to this question as well! Made a thread the other day and didn't hear anything. Those maps are piling up and would love to start clearing them soon...

They already confirmed two weeks ago in another thread that this fix would be in the next Incremental Patch for Consoles. I asked and Gina explicitly confirmed it.

Just a heads up its a super small chance tho.

I personally have used about 30 maps now and not seen a single painting. I know other's who've used 80+ with no paintings. Yet another who got a painting in their 1st chest.

Use this time to pray to the RNG Gods.

Chests in city of ash 1 drop them! Finding tons and easy farm.

Yeah. I just used about 30 maps after the update and didn't get a single one.
