Right, I fully understand that they will be separate. I was just thinking that some of the current hardcore PVP people (the ones that you see getting Emperor) and the folks helping them may shift to battlegrounds, making it easier for other people.

@Publius_Scipio your rp is of legendary quality, i can only hope to one day be asure immersed as you
I do not believe CP will be enabled in BG's. I can't recall where I heard that; maybe rumor or some video clip. But if BG's have no CP you will not find many of the top players there. They cherish that CP for many reasons.

I think think there will be a no cp option like azuras is now. but with leak of the CP rehaul that was clearly geared towards pvp balancing, why would they disable CP for BGs? If anything they are ramping up for CP enabled BGs. . .
as to the OP:
yeah no, BGs arent going to do anything to current Emp pushes. Salty people will try to tell you Emperor means nothing - but it still holds prestige regardless of what you hear. why? just look at what you get with it:
Gameplay wise you gain a skill tree of emperor passives. These include things like tripled resources, more damage with siege, ultimate regen increase etc. however the cosmetic perks to emperor are as follows:
- Unique red dye (Ruby Throne Red)
- A Title (Former Emperor "Emperor" while active)
- The Emperor costume (dyeable with eso plus)
- A 50 pt achievement (Emperor!)
- Option to purchase The Ruby Throne Homestead Furnishing
like, seriously anyone telling you Emp means nothing are salty players who want to hold onto something and dissuade you from getting it because they want to feel like a special snowflake.
Sure its been flipped around, but why? because everyone wants it. Its one of those achievements that new players come into the game thinking theyll never get. like come on, who ya'll tryin to fool?
It's obvious that cyrodill will be empty place 1st few weeks after morrowind release only people that will stay on cyro will be those that dont have expansion or really hardcore zerging fans. It'l be similar situation to Imperial City DCL release when cyrodill was empty place because everyone was running in IC. Question is how percenmt of PvP players will have Morrowind expansion at the release day.
