Stonefalls fishing

Hi, I've spent the best part of this week trying to catch the last blue fish in Stonefalls, Fowl Water Blue Scum Carp. I've used some 800+ crawlers and some roe! Several times while fishing I've had a bite reeled in and nothing? Was like a glitch and I was left ready to cast out again? I thought this might have something to do with the Homestead patch, reason being that Ebonheart Chateau now resides where there was once a fowl water hole. Did this create a bug?
I got so fed up this week that on Thursday I went into Eastmarch to fish and within an 1hr I had caught 5 of the rare fish. Yesterday I did the same and again within an 1hr I had caught the 7 other rare fish to complete the area!
So to put my mind at rest and stop me wasting more of my time and resources I was hoping someone from Zos could kindly take a look for me.

I too have spent countless hours perusing the scum carp but to no avail. I go to other zones and catch the usual number of rare fish. Please ZOS, check into this.

iv yet to catch the blue fish in the lake. after 2000 bait I gave up

I have to ask.. where are you fishing at? In the lava, by the crafting station? Trying to remember where I caught mine.

There's a foul water spot around the bend from Ebonheart (where lava flows). That's where I caught the Scum Carp.

There are at least five different foul water holes I rotate through: Strife, Iliath, Hrogar.

I caught Scum Carp in the pool at Hrogar's Hold.

I only took up fishing several weeks after the launch of Homestead @Bartdude and therefore can attest that the fish still exists in Stonefalls.

It seem to me it is just a case of luck and being at the right spot at the right time. Good luck!

Stay strong, young padawan. There's always a zone that drives you to the brink of quitting. For me it was actually Shadowfen since if felt like there was water everywhere but no fishing spots. I would suggest fishing in a group for a bit or just go to a different zone for a bit and catch those and comeback later.

Crikey been a while since I revisited this thread, basically cause I wasn't logged in Anyhow I eventually did catch the fish after I went off to a different area for a week. Came back and caught it right off the bat, that was some time back as I've had the Master Angler title for some time now

Finally caught the scum carp at Hrogar's Hold. It only took several hundred bait and countless hours of fishing. I still think the thing is bugged--maybe the RNG is off.

Sometimes RNG hates you and it takes an incredible amount of bait to get a rare fish, I've been there before, both before and after the increase to the fish trophy rates.

As for the reeling in problem, this is because there's a max amount of time that you can have your line out, 30 seconds I think. Basically if something doesn't bite before then it kicks in a bite for you but it can still time out on you resulting in getting nothing. I'm guessing this is what you ran into here.
