A couple nights ago I was browsing the crown store, then when I switched from viewing pets to viewing mounts the preview showed only the mount kind of too close up rather than my character on the mount, and then when I exited the store I found my character appeared as the last pet I had viewed.... Behold:
The panther is my pet, the pup is apparently me. I was able to move around and harvest (albeit without any animations) and even trade items with a friend (who actually saw my normal character). I finally got back to looking like myself by putting on a costume.
