Well, I can't personally verify when the mail will expire because I have never had this issue before, but whenever I receive a COD offer, it tells me the mail will expire in 3 days.

Does that 3 day limit start once you actually LOOK at the email? If the person doesn't open it, does it just sit there for 30 days and then return?

It shouldn't but this could always be tested by CODing a junk item to a 1plus month inactive guild member and seeing when it is returned.

-Edit- Just sent off a COD to a 9month gone guildmate. Will update if it comes back in 3 days.

I'm willing to bet yes... just bc that would suck, so naturally they probably went that route.

Above is the answer for COD. People troll offering to buy via COD so it is irrelevant how long it takes if the COD fee is of consequence to you.

The worst thing about COD is that fee! if you sell anything thats worth 50k plus you are paying big time! Why? This makes no sense and is totally unimersive! Now look at the fee cost of selling an item for 500k plus, so unreal and stupid

I've been screwed out of a trade one time for 100k... so there's that.

And yes, CoD fee for a 250k request is 17k! Non refundable... that needs fixed. The CoD fee needs to be placed on the buyer, problem solved.

Something I noticed with normal mail - even when it tells you the mail expires in 30 days, it continues to say 30 days if you login every day. The expiry timer seems to reset on opening your mail again. So, I guess if the person doesn't even look at their mail for 30 resp. 3 days, then it will be returned automatically, otherwise you can wait ages. This is just an assumption, though.

Just make the COD amount 267,000, then it is on the buyer. I negotiate this ahead of time with people.

Yes but in my situation (the person not accepting CoD) it just puts me out of a larger fee...

So is face to face trading, you can thank scammers for that.

    I agree though 30 days isn't practical.

Please if it takes longer than 3 days, REPORT IT. That way if the system borked, they can look into it.
