The reason why I chose Boethia realm it is a big environment to enjoy tournament coliseum PVP. And by Boethia Lore of ten races being in the tournament, don't believe the Daedric they are good deceivers of the truth. Boethia says ten champions but means more for the slaughter. Remember Boethia is the Daedric Prince of Deceit.
The Lore of Tournaments are real in Elder Scrolls thanks to Boethiah and her Realm. The Realm is a Volcanic islands and lava sea that hold tournaments for Champions form each of the ten races of Tamriel that are chosen by Boethiah to the Realm where they fight (1v1 or Royal Corral) to the death, until one stand victorious of Champion. On my post Daedric Prince of Deceit Boethiah ( PvP,ers need to know ).

The tournament brackets are the next step up to 512 players entering the event. Having the option to select the scale of brackets you would like to choose from.
For Example: brackets of 4
brackets of 8
brackets of 16
brackets of 32
brackets of 64
brackets of 128
brackets of 256
brackets of 512
I know with 512 players this is like outrageous but this is about being competitive, bring challenged to the best of your abilities by other opponents. Especially if guys are about PVP either put up or shut up. Let's bring the noise for tournament PVP. This is for PVP players that want steak and not beef jerky.

Since no one has really addressed your OP in detail, I'll offer my input. First, the stuff about Boethia lore wasn't really necessary. Just say you want a dueling tournament. The most notable dueling tornaments I'm aware of were those hosted by SkyperPK soon after dueling came out. Here are some things to consider:
- Who would run the tournament? You?
- Would the duels be streamed/recorded? If so, who will host it? If not, would you or someone else watch each duel to verify fair play or just take the word of the competitors?
- Would you ban particular builds, sets or skills? Proc sets/poisons/super-tanks/pet-sorcs...etc?
- Would competitors pay for entry? Would the top finalists get the entry gold?
- Would the matches be best of 1, 3, or 5?
