How do you craft (or buy) your Spell Pots?

There are two options here..... do you use Spell Pots that provide:
• Magicka + Major Sorcery
or
• Magicka + Major Sorcery + Major Prophecy

It requires more ingredients as well as more gold to create Spell Pots which also contain Major Prophecy.

Magicka DKs, NBs, Templars, and eventually Wardens, will doublebar Inner Light for pure DPS. Magicka Sorc is the one exception because they lack the bar space due to toggles like Bound Armor or Summon Volatile Familiar

I play only Magicka Sorc, and plan on maining a Magicka Warden when it launches. Would it be smarter to craft my Spell Pots with or without Major Prophecy?

I use the Major Prophecy ones on all because I am too lazy to have two sets laying around in my bag and making sure I have the correct ones.

I am also highly inefficient and waste a lot of gold.

I craft usually the "big" one as I don't want memorize which SP pot is used for which char. But I'm a compulsive gatherer, so I rarely lack ingredients ;-)

Naw. I actually just crafted 2.1K Spell Pots that were non-Spell Crit before I got tired of clicking Square

Good question. The other day I was trying to find a way to craft health + magicka +major sorcery potion (no major prophecy) but there is no combination that does it

I can't seem to drop inner light even on my sorc. Do you think that ditching it and slotting unstable familiar is better DPS? How about all the lost magicka? I guess if you use necropotence it doesn't matter?

Slot Inner Light on your frontbar only.

I craft magicka+immovable+detect pots.

Goes to imperial city in the early morning hours. There is always some tv farmer doing the hard work for me whilst just wanting to see how hard my onslaught gank hits for...show him..take tel var..buy bags..makes them with just corn flower and smock. Sells the rest...profit+free potions.

And I thought making 800 pots in one go was boring lol. I don't think you're going to have too much bar space on a Warden so you might very well have to only slot Inner Light on the front bar. I alwaysjust craft the Spell Power + Spell Crit ones cause why the hell not?

I should note that I normally only use them when doing hard content. Most of the time when doing daily dungeons or overworld PvE I just use the trash white potions I have.

Wasted ingredients would be better than wasted potions...

In other words rather have my potion be redundant with a skill than deal with the redundancy of button presses.

Slot Inner Light on your frontbar only.

An idea,or move some stuff to overload bar, power surge is perfect there, working on rotation for an pet sorc now and putting mage wraith on the overload should let you weave overload light attack and wraith.

Still messing around, tried to put elemental drain on overload and could not understand why it did not work.
until I understood that caracter was not holding an staff

I use 3 potions.

For PVE I just use the dropped Magicka potions. It's all I need. Also it's a good way to save resources.

In PVP I use immovable + health + health regen + magic + magic regen and invisibility + speed.

I get all of the other stuff through my skills. Moving off of those spell power potions to the immovable ones I mentioned changed my PVP life.

Since my character is leveling I just make the tripots that restore health, magicka and stamina. I rarely ever need them.

I never buy plants. I have tons of them.

Yeah same. When doing anything besides HM bosses or serious score runs I'll use Alliance Spell Pots

Yes you free 2-3 slots who can be used but no other effect.

I'm not in front of my console but in essence you cannot apply the same effect twice. If you were to get +20% spell power from a potion it would not stack with +20% spell power from a spell.

I saw a post on here a week or so ago saying that structured entropy was a garbage spell and I couldn't even be bothered with a response it was so ridiculous. One spell gives me ... a small amount of damage and health back, 8% more health, 2% more magic and 20% more spell power each time I cast it. It's like the magician's bacon.

When I noticed this last summer, I went out of my way to craft a PVP potion that would not duplicate what I already am getting. Using the immovable + health + health recovery + magic + magic recovery potion is far superior in every single way.

I think it's Columbine, Bugloss and Wormwood but I could be mistaken.

You are doing this wrong

1. Go buy one of these



2. Go into the crafting menu for the potion

3. Switch to this controller using PS button

4. Hit Turbo button til it blinks constantly and Square

Game will make the potions automatically while you vacuum the carpet

Immovables for PvP
Tri-pots for DK

But as for your question, I make with both prophecy and sorcery, I get no benefit from doing so as I use inner light though..

I still make the Magicka/Spell Crit/Spell Power potions although I should change that since they redid the buff system ages ago, and all of my MagDPS toons slot Inner Light. I'm just in the habit of making them since the game came out - can't teach an old dog new tricks, I guess.

What's the most TV you got from a singular gank?

I know you were asking someone else, but the most I've gotten from a single player was 10k. I've gotten way more than that from groups when I used to bomb on my mage blade.
