Does anyone know exactly what raises undaunted lvl? Is it dungeon completion, number of kills, number of bosses?

I play on xbox with my wife and we never play apart. Her lvl seems to be raising faster than mine somehow.
She plays a templar healer and im a dragon knight tank? Does class or role factor in?

Pledges and dungeon achievements. Check achievement tab for what achievements you need. It's usually specific bosses per dungeon. But do your pledges every day and you'll get it. And yes hers went up quicker because one of the dungeon achievements is for dungeon healing

Dungeon achievements and daily Undaunted pledges raise you UD xp. Killing a boss or extra trash or doing whole dungeon on its own won't give you any points but there're achievements for first time dungeon completion, achievements for speedrun/no death/hardmode, achievements for killing X mobs of type Y etc. And then again pledges.

There's also an achievement called This One Is On Me where you gotta find UD members in different zones and buy them all a drink, it gives some points too.

If you really do all dungeons together there's no reason for her level to be raising higher than yours. Perhaps she picked up the pledge and you didn't?
Ohhh there're also achievements for doing X healing/damage in dungeons(which they never bothered to scale to the new *10 numbers -____-) . So if she completed the healing or/and damage one she would get slightly ahead of you, yes.

The undaunted daily quests level it.
Also dungeons achievements as in fist time clearing the dungeons, clearing the veteran dungeon, doing it without anybody dying and so on.
Note that achievements in public dungeons also counts if she killed some boss you missed , you also have the daily undaunted dvelve quest who give some undaunted xp unless mistaken.

Class should have no impact outside some minor achievements.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I have dungeon healer and damage dealer and blocker all maxed and my Undaunted is as low as can be. The achievements have 0 effect or nothing noticeable.

Easy answer. She is a healer. You are a tank. She gets way more xp in the daily dungeon because she is healing 3 other players. You should only be tankng, which does not earn much xp compared to a healer.

You both get the same points for clearing the dungeon, but she is going to rank up faster.

Tanks are not designed to grind xp.

Delve bosses and Public bosses also count towards some of those achievements now, too, such as Damage Dealer.

Undaunted is the only other skill line (Mages Guild) that doesn't care about XP's at all.

(You still need XP's to raise the skill levels from the line, but the line itself is based on achieves.)

This is false other than the one achievement for Dungeon Healing. XP earned inside a dungeon has nothing to do with undaunted. I think there is also an achievement for blocking, so it should be a wash.

This levels so fast now because there are so many more achievements than there used to be. Just run all the vet dungeons one time and do as many achievements as possible along the way. That will pretty much max you out if you are able to do speed runs and the occasional no death. Otherwise, just keep doing pledges.

Wut? This is just not true. Firstly if you're (in a dungeon) with a group you're going to get the very same xp for the kills even if you just stand there and watch or spend the whole fight dead, not doing anything. Secondly it's absolutely irrelevant because he's talking about Undaunted skilltree xp which has no relation to normal xp whatsoever.

Pretty sure there's an achievement for blocking x points of damage in dungeons too btw so as a tank you should get that sooner than her and possibly even it out some, OP ;)

It could be possible that the tank doesn't have self heals, or hes doing little damage to not get the other two achievements.

As a healer, while I'll get greater dungeon healer very quickly (like 2-3 dungeons), I still slowly build up blocking and damage dealer simply because I sometimes take hits and will also dish out some damage. So the healer may have the lower levels of damage dealer and blocker (1 million damage) whereas the tank may not.

My mains are tank and healer. Yes healers rank up faster than tanks in the Undaunted Skill line. Healers reach their achievements faster. They get 50 points for 10,000,000 points of healing done to allies. That is fast! That comes much sooner than the Greater Dungeon Blocker achievement which requires you to "block 10,000,000 points of damage in dungeons.

If all things are equal the healer will always reach that huge 50 point payoff before the tank and most likely before DPS.

So the Greater Dungeon Healer achievment and my 1000+ Champ point experience playing these two roles supports my opinions stated above.

    Thank you,

    Floki

One other addition to this: Once you hit Undaunted 9, it stops, so you'll be left with a partially full progress bar to irritate you until the day they decide to add an Undaunted Ult...
