Help with Latency Spikes

I was wondering if anyone else is running into random massive high latency spikes that will either cause a momentary freeze up of play or an outright DC. I thought it was my internet but I have not had any issues like this while playing 2 other mmo's. While playing, my latency usually sits between 80 and 100 then randomly will go to 999+ and I will either DC or my character will do the old invisible wall trick for about 5 secs before coming back. I am not sure what is causing these spikes. Any thoughts would be appreciated as it is severely effecting my game play.

Lots of people are having server issues. I've personally been having on/off server issues for like 7 months. It'll go away and I think everything is fixed, but then sure enough it comes back with a vengeance.

Don't really have much hope that they will ever resolve them.


It's clearly an issue on ZOS's end, whether they acknowledge it or not.

With most people this applies to a server-side issue.
Most people are cable-connected and if people follow the advice of ZOS they'll have AntiVirus software disabled.
Sometimes high latency could be related to specific Add-Ons that you're using, not always applicable.
