What happened to the Grocers????

Before One Tamerial there were a couple grocers for every Alliance that sold the Vet (or what would now be CP) level ingredients. Flour, Amber Malt, cooking fat, Ect. When they did away with many of the ingredients- like 5 kinds of flour are now just flour - ALL the Grocer's now appear to have the same limited selection of basic, highly bootable, ingredients. WHY???? I tried going to the different grocers and tried on toons with multiple crafting lvl from 1-max and it made no difference. this is particularly bad news for us with the Furnishing crafting. 20 flour for one wax radish and i can't go to a Grocer for it? Are you kidding me????

They haven't sold flour for years, I think. Zos knew they were picking ingredients nor available at store vendors, it was kind of their point.

The best strategy I've had found is to have a craft bag and hirelings...after a year of that I'm sitting on 4,000 flour. Which seemed stupid, until last month.

The list of items sold by the vendors hasn't changed in a very long time. There was a vendor or two that sold them for a lot cheaper than the others, but they were 'fixed'. The article below is from July 31.

Yeah, i have both of those too......but 20 flour is ridiculously high for pretty much EVERY wax food item. its harder to find flour than it is to get any other ingredient. i can buy Nickel (Imperial style mat) from blacksmiths but i can't buy flour from a grocer? *sigh*

And with the Homestead launch, player pricing has gone absolutely insane with no settling in sight. Ugh. 4000 flour? why, oh why, can't you be on PC XD lol

I wasn't referring to the glitched ones underselling it. i am referring to them not selling the item period. the price thing was fixed long before they did away with it at grocers. My point here is if all other material harvesting is scaled to your toon's craft lvl, not just character lvl, in that line then provisioning should have something too in order to keep the drop rate of things like flour more reasonable. Compared to the drop rate of other items needed for furnishing crafting where you have MULTIPLE ways to get the item OR a consistent drop rate to farm from nodes, 20 flour is an unreasonable request if they aren't going to add it to the Grocer too.

Basically if i can't find flour sacks, I'm screwed. or i cave to the guild store insanity of 500g and climbing per flour.

Go to Coldharbour and loot every crate/barrel/cupboard in sight - you'll end up with lots of free provisioning ingredients (plus an insane amount of lockpicks ) EDIT: and a lot of style mats.

The docks in the starting areas (Daggerfall, Davon's Watch, Vulkhel Guard) where Chef Donolon hangs out during the Anniversary events have non-owned flour sacks, four to five sacks at each location, and you can port around to each dock using the navigator for endless amounts of flour you don't have to fence.
