Warden animal summons, how do you feel?

Hey, I checked the leaked skills, they can be the ones coming or not, we know when its live wont we..

Anyway, looking at skills, particularly the animal companions line, i find the images i visualize from skill names to be rather underwhelming.. Okay, the bear is nice though id prefer a senche.. The Cliff racer is the best for me, i cant wait to revenge all those screaming cliffracers i met in Vvardenfell to cast them upon unsuspecting prey.. :dizzy:
The rest, i just feel a great MEH. I ask my self, do i want to summon a netch? the rest of them just make me yawn with no more positive reactions..

Gameplay might be good and the 2 other skill lines seem nice but the one i was mostly waiting for appears to be a disappointment for me at moment until proven otherwise. The cliffracer is only thing that i find myself waiting.. And the bear as well.

I still wish there be some sort of system to change the animals in these skills to something less boring.

So, what do you think about the animals chosen for us?

    I wish there were some animal taming gameplay like WoW's hunter class. They could make each tameable animal work with a specific warden skill, and each warden could sort of build their own menagerie. It would be purely cosmetic, because it'd be a pain to balance, but it could be a lot of fun.

    Taming in general would be a very cool feature. It'd allow a sense of prestige to see the craziest mounts/noncb pets people would get.

    Yes, reskinning would help, i dont care if the change is purely cosmetic as long as my warden can choose her animal companions from wider selection. I fear there will be skins in crown store and it will help but i just hate the idea that someone else decides wwhat animals i like..

    Best poption would be to be able to travel somewhere in tamriel, target an animal suitable for certain skill and then use skill to "attach" the visual to that skill. Each skill would have all the animals suitable for that skill.

    The problem allready with sorcerers is clearly shown, clannfears and twilights everywhere, just add a bear to that list. Tamriel will be so diverse -.-

    It is confirmed that there will be a "Combat Pets" tab to accompany the "Non-Combat Pets" under cosmetics, to apply skins to summoned combatants. The first of which will be a gray skin for the Warden's bear.

    Edit: To reiterate, expect a new tab in the crown store for combat pet skins

    @Oso

    For me, the main benefit in tameable pet, is personal attachment and story to that certain animal. Why is the animal following my character, what is their history? When everyone and theyr uncle, fathers mother, mothers mother and mothers fathers son are running with

    same animal, its hard to feel any special attachment to the companion.

    @KochDerDamonen

    I did not know that, its good news tha there will be tab for combat pets but it will be limited by crown store which makes it a bit awkward. Then again if you can freely add animals suitable for skill from world to that tab, it be good and bring actuaöl diversity.

    I hope we'll be able to reskin those twilights and clannfears, because I'm so sick of them.

    We encountered Scouts in a delve last night that were wardens. They summoned great bears, lions, wolves, it was cool. I can't wait.

    I'm sure we'll see skins,at least for the bear (as it's the only permanent summon).

    I'm ok with what has been shown though.

    Nice, i changed the clanfear with the scamp on sorc for the necropotente bonuses but hate its look.
    Grinding just make you go in circles.
    Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    Coming soon (TM)

    We recalculated the price due increased demand, new price is 90000 crowns, enjoy.

    Anyway, the bear i can bear with, but if like some alternatives for the other skills. I hope the swarm thingy does not mean those giant mosquitos.. They are not very nice. Swarm of small fleshflies could be funny though. Or flock of crows.

    In DAOC, I loved to go around and tame mobs. You could even tame a mob higher than yourself, at the risk of it breaking free and attacking you.

    Now, 15 years later, we get a bear.

    The summons could look like a bunch of kittens and if they contributed well to dps I'd use them.

    I dont believe they affect the FPS any more than other spells, if something they eat less FPS since they do not have so many particle systems as the fancy spells have, lot less to process in animals that there are in flashy spells.

    I don't want to use the ice skill line since now the ice staff heavy is a taunt, I've already got one tank and it's dull as hell to play

    I love the bear, having a companion beastie really appeals but the few bits we have seen other than this are just a bit, meh, I mean where is the fun of playing the whole game as a passenger, if I wanted something that dull I'd fire up my diablo 3 witch doctor

    Best compromise I have is to finally make that kajit I always meant to, permanent bear to keep him company and the just stick to weapon skill lines, at least it will give me a reason to use fighters guild skills :/

    We will pay to have re-skinning options for our pets (sorc and warden). Maybe throw in 1 or 2 free options in an event so less people complain.

    One another thing nerf!

    It's got similar skill from deadric summoning line but ...o.o but it gives magicka recovery (same) and stamina recover (balance issue ) while also healing for 20secs while soc has it's for 10secs ... there's an issue I hope will get addressed.

    And if there is lightning staff on second bar, one has to put skillpoints to passive, same with firestaff. The taunt being on heavy attack is not very good design.
