ZOS: More Services in Baandari Trading Post?

Baandari could be a really cool town - it has a central wayshrine, guild traders(s), and two nearby player houses, but there is no banker, nor any crafting stations. If these were added, I think it would become much more popular. I mentioned in another post that I think there are a lot of towns in Tamriel that are deserted due to poor layout and/or lack of services. Making a few tweaks here and there could more evenly distribute the player population (then you could actually travel to Rawl'kha without an hours long loading screen!)

On EU it's all about Craglorn, that's the busiest for trade and population, i agree it would be good to spread out some of that, though it's nice to have a busy area and we have a few zones Inc Rawl'kha that are busy too yet most are very quiet.

I agree. I really like both these houses, but I was put off buying them because of the location - to actually do anything I'd have to go to a completely different town which makes it seem somewhat pointless to go to Baandari first. So I settled on different houses instead.

I would love to see more towns with services. Baandari is a great example.

I think this deserves a bump, I never realized this town doesn't have a banker.

Honestly wouldn't it be great if most towns had most if not all services? Dye station, banker, guild traders, crafting stations, whole nine.

I'm in full support of adding more general use to minor cities.

It won't happen but I still support it.

Baandari Trading Post, and Malabal Tor in general, has always been a bit of a conundrum to me. Most zones reserve the multiple trader location for its capital city, but Malabal Tor throws logic to the wind and:

    1. Puts the Outlaws refuge, writ turn-in, stables and crafting stations in Velyn Harbor (but no traders other than Outlaw refuge)

    2. Puts the portals to Earth Forge and Eyevea in this little nondescript collection of huts called Vulkwasten, with a trader "close" by.

    3. Puts the large collection of traders in Baandari Trading Post, a joint guild hall for mages and fighters guilds that offers none of their services, a second stable to train mounts, but no other crafting tables.

    I understand that:
Velyn Harbor is under aggressive npc control when you first enter the zone
But I think it should be the de facto capital based on all other functions available. Either that, or give Baandari those features to keep it more in line with every other zone in the game. As someone above mentioned, there are several houses, a dolmen and a delve in very close proximity, it would just make sense.

Oh well. I realize this is a necro'd post, but still some very valid points.

    Edit: Typos and clarity.

IIRC, every single zone with 2 bankers is in AD territory, so I'd kind of prefer to see one added to, say, Ebonheart or Hallin's Stand, for example. Not that I'm against on in the Trading Post, either. Just not sure it's the priority.

Technically, both EP and DC have 2 bankers for their respective "newb" zone--it's just that their newb zone is split in two: StrosM'Kai and Betnikh, and Bleakrock and Bal Foyen. There are bankers in each of these zones.

The AD zones that have 2 bankers are Auridon and Grahtwood. Looking at this, my impression is the game design was to try to accustom new players to using bankers as part of inventory management by making them more accessible earlier on in their game. But for later zones, players should be acquainted with wayshrine travel--and have more bag space--and thus not need bankers everywhere.

Of course the game has changed at lot since this was first designed. We now have personal banker assistants, pve zones are no longer faction--locked and the idea of progression by zone that this original banker spread seems to have been intended for is more or less gone from the game. We're not even bound by writ level to where we have to turn in our writs anymore so player are going to want more flexibility about where they get their services. So at this point, why not add more bankers to all zones.
PC-NA since 2015. Tired and unimpressed.

The lesser cities in Vvardenfell (Sadrith Mora, Balmora, etc.) need to be fleshed out with services first ... before Baandari Trading Post, IMO.

Would be neat if we can add daily posts to our own houses and such and the turn in area as well lol

I don't think the OP meant this, and I personally didn't mean to imply the need for an additional banker to be added to Baandari. I think the zone itself is just out of whack and think one of two things would make the most sense:

    1. Move the Baandari traders to Velyn Harbor. --This becomes problematic, however, until you've completed the quest to eradicate the hostile forces.

    2. Move all the features of Velyn Harbor (Banker, Outlaws Refuge, crafting stations and writ-turn in site) to Baandari Trading Post. --This would be the most logical. The player-owned houses are nearby, and this format would fall in line with how most other zones treat their "capital" cities.

All of these are first-world problems. The banker thing never really crossed my mind, but it did always strike me as odd that all the guild traders were there; and nothing else.

omg I wish Hallin's Stand was the main DC city or the main Bangkorai city at least. I love it so much. When I first started playing I was looking around the map and I thought was that Hallin's Stand would be the main city.

anyway honestly I think Velyn Harbor's bank, dye table, etc. should just be moved to Baandari, so that Baandari is the main Malabal Tor city
