What tool tip?

I am just saying, permanent attunment to one set, is not practical for most players at the current price.
As far as the above mentioned tool tip comment: The description or "tool tip" states, "Use when at an Item Set Crafting Station to create a copy, which can then be placed in your house. (5 second cooldown)".
What does this description mean? What is the cooldown? Does this only allow one change or can I change sets every 5 seconds?
I have checked patch notes and cannot find answers.

As far as I know the change is permanent?
I am a crafter and I do lots of master writs. Those writs are generally different crafted sets. I was hoping these stations would save some time getting writs done etc.
Zenimax what were you thinking with a one set only crafting station that costs about the same as Atherial Abrosia Recipe and Ebony Complete Motif?
Will the Crown Store be selling an all in one crafting station? I would buy that in a heartbeat, but I guess Zenimax already knows how to get my money.
Sincerly,

Attunable stations is one of the my favorite features of homestead. Not having to travel to set locations that are far away from shrines is a godsend.
I've already got the 3 IC sets... and will continue to get them based on PITA to reach. So Fighters Guild and Mages Guild sets are probably next. Then maybe trial by fire... Or perhaps I will just save up vouchers for attunable stations for Morrowind sets. Even if easy to reach, just being able to share them with guild mates that don't plan on getting it.

If you had sold the sealed master writs you spent on the above mentioned attunable stations, you would have earned at least 3 million gold.
Sealed Master Writs averaging 2 writ vouchers sell for 8k min. The 3 stations to have a full set cost 250 writ vouchers each.
750 total cost divided by selling the lowest price writ vouchers (2 writ vouchers) = 375
375 cheap sealed writ vouchers at minimum cost of 8k = (375×8,000) or 3,000,000
Easy math.
I would take the 3 million gold over those items.
Can you ever change your 3,000,000 station into a different set?

Where are you getting that many writ vouchers? IC sets? There are two sets in the IC so you are claiming to have already? That means you have all 3 stations for both sets. Wow! That is 1500 writ vouchers or 6,000,000 gold if you had sold them.
This guy sounds crazy wealthy in writ vouchers so I guess cost is not an issue.
I have 2 mastercrafters and I am lucky to earn 5 or 10 vouchers per day. My first voucher was for like 100 vouchers so I thought they would all be pretty big. I have not gotten another writ voucher over 10 writ points since.
A guild I belong to said they want 26,250 writ vouchers donated so they can put in a bunch of these sets. That makes sense.
I was only saying these stations are not practical for the majority of players. Rich people and big guilds have the resources to make this work.
Thank you,
Floki
They should make attune crafting stations per zone as opposed to singularly. For example, if you choose to attune your station to zone 1 (stonefalls, glenumbra, auridon) then youd be able to use that station to create the sets in those zones (night silence, death wind, ashens grip). They could cost more too.
If they were going to make any change on the scale of what you describe, i would instead make it a workshop - still tied to one set but able to craft all three types of pieces for that set.
Any set i would want attuned i would hope to get all three types of crtafting for but there are few zones where i want all three sets - except wrothgar maybe.
End game i can see if multiple people have multiple houses with a few sets each. Then it would be fine. But honestly the trek and access to the crafting station is sometimes half the fun.
Also some of it is behind DLC content.
Just saying its a pretty monumental add to the game and some people already have it.
