I believe that now if you buy the monster piece with AP, then the trait is Impen, if you buy with gold then you get Infused.

You still get infused for gold and impen for AP. Impen can now drop on the last boss for monster helm and in the Undaunted chests for shoulders. If you have been gone that long you should also know that the Undaunted chests are now divided into 3 with one being for each quest giver. So if you are after a specific shoulder check which chest drops it before using your keys.
