ESO pus price for Russia

Recently I thought about buying some crones or even ESO+. I checked prices in Steam and saw that if I buy 6 months it cost nearly 900 rub (each month). For all of you to understand - it's even more than I monthly pay for both internet and cable TV. Then I tought maybe it's somehow cheaper at official site. I opened it and what I saw - If you buy 6 months each of them costs 7 pounds. I remember that 1 pound is somewhat abot 70 rubles. I used online calculator and yes, 7 pounds is a bit less than 500 rub.Oh, It's a price I can afford, I thought. I log in to buy ESO+ and guess what I see? Same price that is in Steam.

The question is how is this price formed? Why do you hate Russia so much?
Many of russian playes use translation addons cause there's no localisation. Ok, I can understand what's going on around with my English. But prices?
I'm completely shure that ESO+ and crown prices must be recounted. Usually regional prices are done to make them comfortable for certain region. But in this case I see another situation.

I whant to hear an answer - how do this prices formed and why are they sooo high. It's irrational!
Maybe many users will say I'm moaning and should earn more or something like that. I donate in games sometime but only if price is reasonable.

They don't hate russia, no one does.

The main problem is the ruble currency "against" euro or dollar right now.

Some at the moment are worth more than the other. Each "Area currency" is different. You cant compare them or make them the same.

If they could started doing direct bussiness with and within russia, then you could have a better price. (or maybe they already do and then i don't know what they could do, since i dont work with them).

Most of online retailers have special prices for Russian and other poor countries. When people cannot afford product, they dont buy it, so its in retailers interest to make contect available.

A lot depends on number of potential buyers.

In my area Russia is a large market, close to 10%, so our policy is to make additional attempts to keep Russian customers. I am not sure that Russia is large enough market for ESO to pay a lot of attention and do special arrangements. Modifying price according to national currency, make agreements with local payment providers, so on - it has to be justified by number of customers.

I am far from be sure it is the reason, just a possible explanation.

Yes and currency values change over time.

    http://www.xe.com/currencycharts/?from=USD&to=RUB&view=5Y

When ESO launched in 2014 1 USD was worth approx 35 rubels.

Today 1 USD is worth approx 60 rubels.

ZO aren't responsible for the massive drop in rubel value. If anyone "hates Russia" it's Mr Putin.
