Idea - Jumping - Add a small stamina cost?

    No
    Zenimax needs to first learn about conservation of momentum.
    If an object is moving at <x> speed, it continues to travel at <x> speed unless acted upon by an outside force.

    Whenever we jump, our momentum isnt preserved.
    If Im sprinting and I jump, my "Jump movement is NOT equal to my sprinting speed", thus resulting in a gimped and slower jump.

    I think they should learn-to-physics first before we start tackling ideas like extra resource costs.

    My idea was based on the person attacking. Start attacking first, while jumping around, you're out of combat. Hey, nothing more than an idea. Jumping should effect a player, no way should attacking be accurate while jumping all over the place.

    What is the actual combat advantage of jumping instead standard running? Uhm, let me think.....nothing?

    Come please with some constructive ideas about TRUE issues, for example how to reduce lag in Cyrodiil or how to improve loot system in VMA. Stop coming with pointless BS, don't make problems where they're not.

    I don't see how jumping in a pvp fight actually helps. It's not like the hit box changes on your already large size character. In fact, the hit box still registers if you're aiming at the ground under said character.

    And no, leave jump with out using stamina. This isn't dark souls.

    Le's also add stamina cost to normal "running" (not sprinting) - in real life can you run like that forever ?
    Let's also add stamina cost of calling & getting on the mount - can you do that in real live without losing stamina ?
    Le's also add stamina cost of walking upstairs - can you walk upstairs in real life without losing stamina ?

    Right now, in PVP, you don't take any damage in the air. So a bunch of guys just constantly jump to mitagate damage.

    Do you have any proof? I've never seen that before.

    Why are people so against jumping...?

    Imagine all the NPC randomly jumping around. I don't really care what other people do with their characters and adding a stamina cost isn't going to change anything about it either. At the risk of looking like a clown people can jump all they want.

    I don't want it to cost anything but I would like to not have my jump messed up because there is something to interact with in my line of sight (Xbox) ... this is really annoying

    If you can change keybinds on console: change 'open map' to right D-pad (scroll through quests) and separate jumping and 'interact with environment'. I set mine up like in skyrim and put my second skill on the original 'map' button.

    Lol, what? No I'm good. There is no advantage from jumping. So next time I get stuck in some tiny hole and it takes me 10 jumps I will be out of stamina? I'll pass on that.

    There are things that could be fixed with this game, but imo jumping cost isn't one.

    only if jump height based passives become available so that it can pretend to be acrobatics. this would open up the possibility of a set becoming available where a jump gives you the same effect as dodge rolling.

    Due to being completely addicted to the quakes and tribes and mods like ns and dystopia for years, I do occasionally try to bunnyhop unconsciously, in every 3d game with jumping.

    I already suffer enough consequences in game engines that do not allow for trimping and such.

    When I actually concentrate on being hard to keep track of in this game, I try to avoid jumping at all, except to negotiate terrain.
