Is it Worth Upgrading Gear to Gold for PvP?

I get that the weapons are essentially a must but is it worth upgrading your gear to gold for PvP?

I would only upgrade to gold if you're gonna be using that build for awhile, and not switching it up every other week.

Being worth it is relative to how much time you have, how much gold you have, and how concerned with having top teir stats you are.

Generally if I have gold jewels or a set that uses no jewelry I make it gold.

You will notice an increase in stats but it won't make or break you

ESO is a game where people tend to maximize everything to be as competitive as possible. You don't have to go gold, but when you consider the minor buffs to armor, all the set piece buffs...it can add up.

But I have ten characters (and two Wardens off at boot camp somewhere)...equipping everyone in gold would be insane, lol. So I like to find a "base set" for each character...one I know will perform well for a long time. Hundings Rage and Julianos are the choice for a lot of my characters. I make this gold, piece by piece, then let the secondary set stay purple. If I decide I love the secondary set I might upgrade it...but if it's a set-of-the-month that might go out of fashion with the next update, I don't worry about it.

Golding gear only increases your stats by around 2-3% so if you play alot of trials and top tier pvp and you play for like 8-10 hours a day then sure go for it but if you don't get to play often or don't care so much then purple gear is just as effective. After all its the player ability not gear that makes you better
