Frost staff tanking

Hi,

I'm a hobby theorycrafter, and I'm "working" on a frost staff tank. I'm thinking Magicka Nightblade for a self-healing loltank for veteran dungeons, so most of the skills almost place themselves on my bar.

Inner Rage - Refreshing Path - Sap Essence - Shade(s) - Siphoning Attacks - Mirage - Ice Blockade - Strife - Soul Harvest - Soul Tether - Warhorn etc etc

What I would like inspiration from you guys for is gear choice:

Do I wear max mag stuff for more blocks/healing or do I go a more traditional block reduction path?

Do I still wear heavy (like 5-1-1)?

What do I put on my back bar weapon wise? Like, does it need to be SnB now that the ice staff is supposed to be tanking weapon?
