this alchemy master writ is giving me fits

it wants a damage health poison ix, so alkahest. it needs these properties: breach, increase spell power, ravage health.
beetle scuttle, cornflower, and violet c have the traits so they double up as is needed. i get a damage health poison ix: inflicts minor cowardice (! no cowardice traits in the group), increases spell power there in that writeup with the cowardice; applies minor breach, and deals poison damage. nothing about ravaging health. i made a ravage health potion by itself combining 2 w/ravage health and i got something that specified ravage health. but not in the poison.

is something not right with the writ itself or am i missing something?

I usually start with what I believe to be the least common effect. I get two ingredients with it and put them in the bar first. Now I look for a second effect that shows on one of these and find a 3rd ingredient to match it. Now what about that 3rd effect? Well, if you didn't get lucky the first try and catch it in overlapping effects, then you might have to go back to the first two ingredients and remove the one that doesn't have either of the other two effects you need. Now go looking for a replacement.

It's kind of hard to explain, but that's how I do it.

Violet C, Blessed Thistle, Ladys Smock
Violet C, Corn Flower, Ladys Smock
Violet C, Emetic Russola, Ladys Smock
Violet C, Ladys Smock, NightShade
Violet C, Ladys Smock, Nirnroot
Violet C, Ladys Smock, Stinkhorn.

They all should generate the writ requirements. Not logged in, so I cant test them. Results are from an Iphone app called Workbench

You have to make sure you don't have any counterbalance things in there that knocks out the other ingredients. I'm not in game, so I can't check, but my guess is you have something in there that is counterbalancing something.

ok based on the above table, dealing x poison dmg each sec for 6 seconds IS the ravage health part. ie just doesn't say ravage health in the writeup. so what i was looking to make should work

On Xbox the alchemy writs seem buggy.

For example, yesterday I accepted a writ that said "Ravage Health + Ravage Magicka + Speed!".

I looked it up in the ESO Toolkit app and it said...

"Blessed Thistle + Emetic Russula + Scrib Jelly"

I crafted it and my count never updated on the quest. It had the same traits as the master writ but the name of the potion was different.

The calculator is for both. It defaults to potions but for poisons just click the "Solvents" tab on the right and choose the appropriate level poison solvent.
